Thank you for the hijack, to let you know, I was actually a bit out of pocket with real work. Rest assured though, I truly CAN read, and I am going to make sure that I read your pms this weekend and address whatever it was you said to me. You will have my UNDIVIDED attention when I do so, and I will make sure to answer them, I promise. No promises as to the answer,(depends on your questions,) but I WILL answer you this weekend. Can we go back to the thread now?

Sorry to hijack the thread but just to say to Video Admin Alpha that I sent her two PMs recently that are unread after being advised to by another mod.

It's probably like the final verse of Job (the one that wasn't included):
"And Job called up to the Lord and asked, why have you done all this to me?"
"And the Lord said; there is just something about you that pisses me off."

YMMV

It is very hard to piss me off, you have to be really high on my personal radar for me to lose control like that.......no, he hasnt done anything to me emotion wise, and he has a valid point. I plan on showing him just how conscientious I can be when it looks like someone thinks I don't care....I DO care, and I plan on showing it. I am not whining, but I truly wish I get to some letters more quickly. (You do NOT want to know how much mail I get in a day) I haven't even read the friendly notes yet!!!!

YMMV

Something like that although I wouldn't ascribe divine status to the person in question.

\

What the slurpilicious dude was trying to do:

joke   /dʒoʊk/ Show Spelled
[johk] Show IPA
noun, verb, joked, jok·ing.
–noun
1. something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act: He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him.
2. something that is amusing or ridiculous, especially because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce: Their pretense of generosity is a joke. An officer with no ability to command is a joke.
3. a matter that need not be taken very seriously; trifling matter: The loss was no joke.
4. something that does not present the expected challenge; something very easy: The test was a joke for the whole class.
5. practical joke.
–verb (used without object)
6. to speak or act in a playful or merry way: He was always joking with us.
7. to say something in fun or teasing rather than in earnest; be facetious: He didn't really mean it, he was only joking.

And noone was saying I had divine status, if I did I would have gotten to your letters already instead of being human.

Edited to add: When I was younger, I enjoyed reading Dale Carnegie's "How to Win friends and Influence people" . I would highly suggest it to anyone that has troubles in that area.

Pssst... VAA I'm to the point that even with all the time I spend on the boards here, and this is not to brag, but attests to how much I love to read, I can get thru anywhere between 20-25 in a 3 wk period.  My local library loves me.

I'm waiting for the new one to be built here so I can get some new books. I have not visited in years. Seriously......sad, but true.

They cleared ground for it so maybe in 10 years construction will commence.(After they get through modernizing all the ball fields)

Ours is undergoing a massive renovation, going to be at least 3 times the size it was, so for now it's a small room at the local arena, haven't quite figured out how I manage to find enough books to read, but I have so far.  The new one is supposed to be completed mid to late Spring.  Can't wait!!

ETA:  This is in a town with a pop of about 10 to 15K, if that, and out of $750K they've already raised $500K.  I'm actually lucky to live where I do even if I'm not in town itself, but about 12 miles out in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks, I'm sure you can read lol - just that the PMs were marked "unread". I PMed a few other mods also asking but similarly the messages were unread. Sorry for the disruption.

It wasn't clear enough in my post but it was more a reference to the previous person. I must look out for that book - reckon I need it to get on on this forum lol

BTW returning to the topic at hand, I have been attempting to read a seriously fucked up book called Giles Goat Boy by this author - anyone know him from the pic?
