LordDominik -> Curiosity... (5/5/2006 11:55:45 AM)

In the United States, a lot of states are approaching the day for their Primary elections.  As I have talked to several people, I've come to notice that quite a few BDSM lifestylers are not registered to vote.  Are you a registered voter?

I detest politics. I can't help it, it is just part of who I am. I am registered to vote and I must tell you that every person in office now better hope to God that they don't absolutely need my vote... because they won't get it.

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: Curiosity... (5/5/2006 9:05:01 PM)

Yep.  I wasn't able to vote, though, because with this lovely new ID law in Indiana I was screwed.  I have a valid driver's license.  I have a valid marriage license.  I'm registered under my maiden name, and my driver's license has my married name. (It's one of those things I forgot to change in the insane rush of getting married last summer.  By the time I rememebered it was too late.)  They wouldn't take them, along with my social security card as proof that I am me.  I think it's crap.  Not only did I have a valid ID, I had three of them, but it wasn't good enough.

Here in Canada we don't have to register to vote

Theo23 -> RE: Curiosity... (5/7/2006 3:00:14 AM)

In my area, we're able to register at the polls. I'm not very impressed with the democratic process in the US, I think of it as a bit of a sham, but vote just incase it matters - the least I can do.

LaMalinche -> RE: Curiosity... (5/7/2006 3:27:07 AM)

Yes!

Not only am I registered. . . I also go and VOTE.

Best,

LaMalinche

feastie -> RE: Curiosity... (5/7/2006 4:10:52 AM)

I am registered and I vote in every election I possibly can.  I don't claim to be either Republican or Democrat, but vote for the person based on the views presented.  I wish I'd been able to vote in Jefferson County recently.  Folks there made a HUGE mistake in the county judge election.  Huge.  Not that my one voted would have changed anything, but I still would have liked to had my say, so to speak.
