I looked at a member's profile a couple of nights ago, after he/she came up on an interest search. Half an hour later I receive message from her and we emailed back & forth for 1/2 hour. It was late & she said she was off to bed and we should continue next night. I replied o.k. & asked what time - no reply. I log on next morning to see still no reply and that "member no longer has an active profile" Talk about chickening out ! ? It's so anonymous here and private /secure, why would he/she be so flighty ?? Can't get your jollies off over 1/2 hour emailing surely ?

Why would you get so upset over that? If you are going to be this upset over something that could amount to a family or work requirement that might have taken them away... you better get ready for the roller coaster of your life, because this is going to be a nightmare for you.

One possibility... sitting alone in a darkened room at night with only the computer screen for illumination (and perhaps a little on the horny side and/or intoxicated)) can make focus on their fantasies. The next morning, in the bright sunshine, the real world comes back and leads to second thoughts - a sort of "oh my God, what have I gotten myself into," morning after sobriety (both figuratively and perhaps literally). To disappear without explanation is rude but you have to expect that sort of thing. Like an aspiring author, you have to expect to get a lot of rejection slips before you find that winner.

even though she instigated the fantasy (which could mean a lot of things), she may not have liked where it was going. or she has some deep seated "why am i here" issues to sort out. maybe she only wanted to talk about a fantasy, not cyber with you, and you took it to cyber land with the "wut r u wearin" question. Or she simply decided she just didn't want to do it anymore, and couldn't figure out a tactful way of saying "actually, nevermind." OR her husband came in the room? who knows.

Wow, is your time worth so much that a whole 1/2 hour is going to make a big difference in the whole scheme of things? I'd certainly hope not. Try being fooled for 8 months and then told it was all "just play, it's the internet and shit happens". Completely out of the blue. Then come back and complain. *Please note that I* did not start a thread on this. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. "Won't get fooled again" as the Who so eloquently stated.
