We already have laws that protect IP. If the IP is within easy sight from public land, then its the IP owner's responsibility to pay for a building or a high fence before restricting those on public land from viewing it from public land. The inability to balance the needs of capitalism with protection of personal liberties, even the personal liberties of your 'political enemies', is how we ended up down the slippery slope with today's Republicanism not being very Goldwateresque.
