I love music and have been involved in it since very young but because of family I am biased. There is no other piece even like this one or inspires me and gets my pulse going, so talk about elevated...like this one. Yea...it's 20-30 minutes.Crank it up !!

The Tchaikovsky Violin concerto in D major and by...Jascha Heifetz, 1929. Incredibly challenging, voluminous...radical.

Gogol Bordello - Not a Crime

This band is amazing, I saw them live. If you ever want to have the time of your life go see them, they're one of the hardest working bands around, they play 6 out of 7 days a week and have an energy level that is through the ceiling.

Evidently an acquired taste. This is the kind of band I might have heard on PBS radio.
Does anyone actually listen to what others post? 'Cause it strikes me as kind of a big circle jerk.

Waltzes always lift my mood.

Blinded by the Light - the Manfred Mann version.

The previously mentioned Solsbury Hill.

Dear Prudence... one of the greatest expressions of simple compassion, of reaching out to those who are lonely and in pain. I particularly like THIS version.

I'm not sure if "elevated" is the right term for Taxi, by the late great Harry Chapin, but it never fails to assuage a bad mood or move me. The fact that I drove cab for seven years probably has something to do with it.
