We're in a low protocol relationship and I usually call him Daddy or by him name. The only time I call him Master is if we're at a scene event where we don't know most of the people. I've found that it tends to cut short any questions.

I have 2 collars and I rarely wear them. We are married, so I wear my wedding ring.

Most of the time we're just a goofy, affectionate couple that enjoys being with each other, even when we're doing nothing.

I never thought I'd enjoy the sound of hearing "Sir Chaz" roll off the lips of girl before. Then one night I was at an Irish pub in the city I was working in at the time. The bartender there lived in Ireland for awhile and had the accent. Anyways, she referred to me as Sir.. then a small pause while she corrected herself to say Chaz. Sir...Chaz.. Ummmmm.. I said "Sir Chaz".. I kind of love the way that sounds. Needless to say, from that moment forward.. she was calling me "Sir Chaz". Now, for me personally... I was a little amazing at how this all come about. Trust me, a few years ago on this very Message board. I had posted a bit of a rant about strangers calling me Sir and such. That in some regards, it just well made me feel a little old or made things seem rather impersonal.

I took an opportunity to explore something... Clearly I could have sat there and pretended to not have noticed her correcting herself from addressing me as "Sir" to "Chaz". What's most important is that she is delighted to address me as "Sir Chaz" and hell this is without any BDSM or D/s dynamic established or in place.

But there is a certain tone in the voice along with a significant meaning behind words spoken, this alone is priceless.

I myself discovered, something to be honest with you, that I never thought I'd be fond of hearing roll off the tongue of another human being.

Do I want everybody and their brother and sister to start addressing me as "Sir Chaz" hell no, I much prefer to hear it coming from somebody that actually makes it special and enduring, by the way that they say it... because they express it with meaning.

Life is too short, to not actually live it and perhaps give new things a spin when the moment presents itself.

There was a woman who used to post regularly ( think it was BitaTrouble...but could be wrong) who used to refer to her dominant (not sure of their exact dynamic) in her posts as "Himself". I always liked that...the perfect combination of subservience and scorn.

Now that isn't fair at all, troll.   I think power exchange relationships can occur, without a protocol book, or anyone calling the other Mistress or Master...   Okay, I like Ma'am, but I am fairly short on pronouncing my position at all times.   I absolutely love it, when a submissive simply submits, and gets me.
