i remember one year, our whole tenor sax section was female and our tallest member was a friend of mine, who was 5'1 =p i'm sure anyone who's handled a tenor sax can see why this is funny. now imagine running backwards with it. AND trying to look cool while doing it. =p this is one of my most fun memories from a field show. ^_^

we had to hold them up pretty high and then arch backwards a little -- it was weird. we had some pretty serious arms and shoulders by the end of that season. =p

Other examples of incredible marching & maneuvering....all kids under 21.... ....the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, of Rosemont, IL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSLmX7LfoFc&playnext=1&list=PLFB873C24FA06DB4A ...and music...but no video....11 minutes of near perfect symphonic ensemble spread all over a football field...all teenagers and kids under 21...."Phantom Of The Opera"....by the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps...if you do not want to listen to it all...run it up to the finale at 8:56 in the clip....and listen to the ending fanfare and last 3 minutes of the show..."Music Of the Night"...crank the sound up.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8G8CAiKuG0 MC
