I had this happen to Me once. I had known My submissive for over a year. We chatted online every night, used webcam, talked on the phone. I thought I knew this person. We agreed that I would stay at her house. I went there for a week. That was the most miserable trip I have ever had. Needless to say, people are not always what they seem. I would play it safe and use a hotel room. I don't think it is rude at all.
