LOL... my thoughts were leaning more towards Strom Thurmond. [;)] Each state has one.

Wait a minute.....future politicians are partly to blame for the creation of problems that have already transpired ?
How is that,lol...would you care to explain that time bending theory to me .Please i am more than a little curious.

Consider this...

how many times are the same politicans re-elected by voters who know what mistakes they made in the past?

How many of these same politicians rise to higher offices?

How many are cutting their teeth on the party line of those who have gone before and made massive mistakes?

You mean like Iowans re-electing Branstad???[:D]

Even better.....

Minnesota's 6th congressional district re-elected this person this last November. The Tea Party picked someone 'solid', 'of sound mind', and very knowledgable about US History.

If it weren't for this guy, I would have to assume Minnesota had replaced Arizona as the 'dumbest state in the Union'. I guess the two individuals really do balance things out. Which is why, Arizona still remains as the 'dumbest state of the Union'.

Actually, Lawrence O'Donnell said tonight on his show on MSNBC The Last Word if you can answer three questions about Michelle Bachman you can get credit on his show.  He wanted to know about her staff and why people voted for her even though she didn't know much.

Really?

So Obama is responsible for "Guantanamo, the bailouts, more bailouts, no child left behind, wars that can't end, warrantless  roving wiretaps".

That would have never been my guess.

I thought it was the guy who spent most of his time in office clearing brush from his ranch.

But hey, learn something new every day.

Thats not what he is saying, rule.

But, allow me to say this.

Guantanamo is still in operation.

The second bailout was signed by Obama.

No child left behind is still in effect, but going to get an overhaul.

Those wars are still on going.

Heres a question for you, Brian - if 60% disapproval = most hated, wouldnt 56% disapproval = 2nd most hated?

quote:

Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-six percent (56%) disapprove. The president earns approval from 77% of Democrats  but disapproval from 89% of Republicans. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 44% approve and 56% disapprove.

A direct reply to tazzy -

quote:

Four-dollars-a-gallon gas.

Nearly 10 percent unemployment. Our brave men and women still fighting and dying on the faraway sands of Iraq and Afghanistan. Guantanamo Bay still open; universal health care still undelivered; an economy in shambles. The question isn't why President Barack Obama's 47 percent approval rating is the lowest of any chief executive since Gallup began such polling 71 years ago, though plenty of people will tell you it's because America is a deeply bigoted country, while pointing out the fact Obama is a black man. No, the real question is why the president's approval rating is as high as it is.

And the answer to "why its as high as it is " is the same reason that is blamed for it being too low.

And allow me to say that the majority of what was in that quote was created by Bush while the poster in question somehow attributes it all to Obama.

I don’t feel sorry for her because she’s lazy.  She thought she could be president without doing the hard work to prepare.  She raised a lot of money she said was for the cause but ended up pocketing it.  And as governor she supported bad legislation.  She supported her bridge to nowhere, lied about health care death panels and the inciting line to "Don't Retreat, Instead - RELOAD!"

As 60% Disapprove Sarah Palin Is America’s Most Hated Politician

Palin is so unpopular that Donald Trump is more popular than she is. Trump had an approval rating nearly ten percent higher than Palin’s (37%-28%). Trumps unfavorable rating was 17 points better than Palin’s (43%-60%). The only person with a lower favorability rating than Sarah Palin was Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who had a 22% favorable rating, but 50% of Americans didn’t know who he was.

To put Sarah Palin’s unpopularity into its proper context consider that Wall Street had a higher favorability rating in the poll than she did (30%-28%). Wall Street’s unfavorable rating was also 11 points lower than Palin’s (49%-60%). The people who completely wrecked the economy through greed, incompetence, illegal activity, and in some cases theft are more popular that than the Queen Esther wanna be herself.

According to the title of the thread, Sarah is the most hated, yet in the part you quoted it says Walker is the most hated. Did you even read the article or were you to busy picking a picture to go along with it?

slvemike4u -> RE: As 60% Disapprove Sarah Palin Is America’s Most Hated Politician (3/15/2011 11:52:31 AM)

Perhaps Brain figured that since 50%(as per the lne you highlighted) did not even know who Walker was the Cuda wins the tittle in a runaway.
Or were you too busy playing "gotcha" to read the whole sentence?

What difference does it make how many people knew who he was? The article stated that Walker had a lower rating than Sarah. Brain claims that Sarah was. Now I understand that brain hates sarah and can't stand the chance to let us know, but he shouldn't state something as a fact if he is going to post a link showing it to be wrong. Maybe if you weren't so quick to jump on anyone from the right, you would have understood that, but I have seen your posting history, so I don't expect much.

slvemike4u -> RE: As 60% Disapprove Sarah Palin Is America’s Most Hated Politician (3/15/2011 12:05:26 PM)

Except half the nation doesn't even know who Walker is(doesn't say much for the level of political engagement of the American public)...leaving me comfortable with Brains thread tittle(that is not to suggest I am comfortable with Brain....he takes partisanship way too far for my taste)...that isn't to say one can not make an issue of it....just that it seems to be one of splitting hairs to me.
Certainly not worth an argument.

slvemike4u -> RE: As 60% Disapprove Sarah Palin Is America’s Most Hated Politician (3/15/2011 12:08:42 PM)

By the way...I am quite comfortable with my posting history....and will continue to be so,despite your low opinion of me...as a matter of fact taking shots from the likes of you tells me I must be on the right path.
Have a nice day.

Here's a question for you.

Why do conservatives consistently pull up Rasmussen polls which are always lower than any other poll numbers regarding Democrats.

Oh, never mind, I just answered my own question.

Here's a hint for you Sanity, when Rasmussen appears on FOX and proclaims his conservative views then there is a probably better than average chance that his polls are biased.

Wrong again, and this too has already been discussed. Rasmussen polls likely voters, not just registered voters. Their election polls are consistently as/more accurate that the other polls. The only bias is what you want to see through your extremely foggy glasses.

And since he also appears on CNN, MSNBC and NPR, does he bias that weeks polls towards Dims?

Then explain to me why every single poll he puts out is consistently 5 to 10 points lower than any other polling organization when it comes to Obama's approval rating.

Its never 10 points, and if you can read I already explained it to you.
