on a more constructive note.
take what bugs you. write it down and leave it untill the next day. then reread and edit what you have written. try not to write so that you get people's backs up. accept that should you post there are always people who will tell you to stop whining, either put up with it or leave. it's not just this site, but virtually every site i have been on. patience is not a virtue of 'older than you' people when it comes to what appears to be a pop at other people or a thread that long standing members have all delt with or seen before. what alot of members forget is that they were new once and probably did some of the exact same posts once upon a time.
so the lessons to learn;
just ask others what they would do in a certain situation
accept that some will answer, but that some will heckle or take the piss no matter how you word a thread.
when it comes to adverts and profiles; people don't always read them fully or at all. if they do they think they are so special that even though they are not what you state you are looking for, you will still want them. if they haven't read the profile then they will contact you coz they have no idea what you want. some just don't care. but it will always happen.
in the instance of the above, either say thanks but no thanks and have no further contact with them. or just delete and don't say anything.
you could always list the things you want in your profile/adverts and then state that anyone who doesn't fit what you want will not be answered.
lastly, remember this thread when you are a long standing member somewhere and remember how it felt to have the other posts in it. then when you see someone else posting in the same way remember to be polite and answer in a constructive way.
