Is it just my imagination, or is there a tendacy for domes, switches, to put just UK as a location?........It can only lead to short inane messages from subs, which i believe is a complaint of many dommes.
Itsn't there some vetting for giving a location?

Arpig -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 12:24:43 PM)

Not having a specific location doesn't lead to short inane messages from sub types. Small minds and a lack of imagination lead to short inane messages. For example, sub 1 lives in London and messages Dom A "Where U at". Result? Deleted unread. Now sub 2 also lives in London and messages Dom A "I live in London. If I were to crawl to where you live, assuming I would wear out a pair of kneepads every 10 miles, how many pairs of kneepads should I buy for the trip?" Result? Laughing Dom cheerfully replies with an estimate...and the chase is on!

There's a right way and a wrong way to do everything. Use your imagination...I know I'm the DM and all, but that rather brilliant approach idea took me all of about 30 seconds to come up with...imagine what you could do if you thought about your approach for say 5 - 10 minutes before you dashed off the message.

The site tells us how far we are from each other, but only if you live in the US as it goes by zip code. So yes, it would help if people would put their location in.

littlewonder -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 3:37:21 PM)

uummm....talk to them and ask them once you get to know them???

I've found that always worked for me. <shrug>

needlesandpins -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 3:48:30 PM)

i state in my profile where i am. i also state why i'm here. it doesn't stop anyone contacting me in any way they want. however, the way in which they contact me determinds whether i see fit to reply or not.

i may sigh and roll my eyes at times, but no complaints.

Well, i appear to be wrong, according to the majority....mind you, history proves they were very often wrong......

and please, feel free to argue that black is white.

Don't you just love these fuckers that come on, post a question...then deny whatever is said in response? Dude, if you only wanted to have your opinions reinforced..speak into the mic then hit playback.

You've been given some good suggestions on how to deal with the issue, yet you have no interest in doing so...you just want to piss and moan. Put on your big girl panties and pay attention. You just might learn something.

stellauk -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 5:00:01 PM)

What has the location where someone is got to do with the content of the message?

dz -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 5:21:43 PM)

now i understand, there is no control on this site....thank you.

NocturnalStalker -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 5:48:08 PM)

You know they're called clothespins for a reason.

You're right.  The site doesn't control what location anyone puts on their profile.  Do you want to know why?

Because a lot of Dominant women have had people stalk them when they find out what town they are in.  Literally went to the trouble to find munches in the woman's location so they can follow them out to their car or try to follow them home.  Some will go as far as to see if they can find them through their friends or get their real names to track down their address.

More people would put the town they were listed if there weren't some creepy stalkers out there who seem to think that Dominant women owe them something.

Do you have any other questions?

dz -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 6:19:32 PM)

That is a reason, no arguement...for not giving a town, but an area, eg, north west, south east, etc, should be safe

Honestly, they all did that when you signed on because they're just not into you.

littlewonder -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/16/2011 7:59:23 PM)

Dude you might find you have better luck if you get a decent normal regular pic instead of what you have now. I didn't read your profile but I'm guessing it's all about youyouyou and again....get a better profile and you might get better responses instead of coming here and complaining about why no one puts in a specific location so you can wank to their profile.

myotherself -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/17/2011 1:21:36 AM)

Fast reply:

Dude, have you ever considered that maybe people don't WANT you to know where they live? LadyPact is totally correct in that stalkers and freakazoids of all types will do seriously creepy shit to women, just for their buzz. Which is why when I first talk to a guy I refuse to tell him my nearest big town or which munch I attend. Not because I'm paranoid, but because it has happened to me.

Secondly, it could just be that these women (I'm assuming you're straight - I didn't care enough to read your profile carefully) simply don't want to meet? Maybe they have a relationship already, maybe they're really called Trevor the Trucker, or maybe they just get annoyed by every waving dick within 100 miles making a clumsy pass at them simply because they're relatively local. Cos that's really flattering. [8|]

Chill out, wind yer neck in, and get a perspective.

Damn that bunny beat me already...and its not even easter yet [;)]

I have the same view as myotherself already said.

In my case I don't name my exact location as I know it would be in conflict with potential employers who are at times incredible intolerant to social networking sides....which is also a reason why on my pro sub profile on another page I use a very different location to where I live to as I have no desire to meet in my local area....and as I am travelling to the view clients where I bother to meet (not too many as I am a bit picky about who to meet) it ain't their business where I am living.

Furthermore, as bunny said, it ain't funny to get hit on by every local prick who wants to get laid [8|]

Years ago when I was studying I had my local area on this page and quite frankly it got tiring to keep telling the folks that I am not interested in sex just to satisfy their needs....if I want to get laid and am desperate I meet my ex, if I want some fun I get paid for it...there is no interest of nsa in my book....and so quite frankly that shit stopped at last with stopping to name my exact location at last, thank goodness [:)]

JohnWarren -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/17/2011 3:00:40 AM)

My suggestion: Find interesting profiles, write polite notes, exchange comments, observations, then ask their location.  If they are too far away, you have an interesting penpal.  If they are close, they are a lot more likely to want to meet you after having exchanged messages.

You claim on your profile to have three decades of training based on honesty and respect.

Then you start a thread like this and make comments such as the above.

I'm judging by appearances here, but what were you trained as?

A clothes horse?

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/17/2011 9:06:38 AM)

You ask for opinions, you get them, you don't like them.  Well ain't that surprising?  Not much left to say.

dz -> RE: Unknown Areas (3/17/2011 9:21:09 AM)

but you are all such friendly chums....some take my breath away.
