Hi, I am looking to expand into making Steampunk boots and shoes for both men and women to go along with my Victorian styles of footwear, but at very affordable prices. I am wondering what styles people would want copied, and if there are any Steampunk stores, dealers who would carry my goods (NO consignment).

I will second the request for photos and a price range on the steampunk footwear.

There are some steampunk stores online, and someplace like Etsy is always a possibility. Are there conventions or quirky stores in your area? I'm a broke grad student, though, so I'm not much of an expert on sales avenues.

These designs seem like good inspirations, though the gears on the calf boots are too large for my taste. I think the sandals are my favorite; the straps are lovely.

Some random notes:

-Stilettos are sexy, but it's easier for ladies to to strut their stuff in chunky heels or platforms.

-Unstretchy calf boots make big girls cry.

In my opinion you'd be better off presenting this question to persons in the Steampunk community. LiveJournal has a number of boards you may wish to peruse as does Fetlife. The response will be more in line with what you're seeking. There are also a few Lolita's that would probably enjoy your products. Best of luck.
