I'm so sick of reading all of the mean crap back and forth about BBWs. So I would like to devote this thread to complete positivity along the lines of Big Girls (or guys) that rock your world! I'll start with my ever-growing list of some famous big beautiful folks who I just adore: Queen Latifa (do I really need to qualify this?) Aretha Franklin (just because. she's the bomb) Kathy Bates (because she kicks ass!) Drew Carey (cuz I think fat men can dance better than anybody) Meatloaf (because of his romance by the dashboard light) and to all the BBW's...the tall ones, the fat ones, the broad-backed ones... I have loved and loved some more. y'all rocked my world.

Worse yet, is allowing anyone not feeding or clothing us, to have an unsolicited opinion about us. If only the self hate would stop, many things would change, since we are women, and mothers, and perpetuating it all. M

when the first idol show came out i watched along with everybody else. til whathisface judge told a great singer she would do better if she lost weight. a week after that i watched another show where the skinny mariah , celine dion , christina and britney, singing back up to a BBW Arethra Franklin. when she started to wail those girls seem to just fade away. edited to add : just watched the local news with the current miss America . girl kinda thick around the waist. :)
