No, actually you need to do something about your profile. Its all about what you want from a master/mistress. There's nothing about you. What is it about you that would make me want to take you on? Think of yourself as a commodity for sale and think of your profile as an advertisement.  Sell YOU, not your kinks. While we may very well do a lot of kinky things together, the vast majority of our time together will be non-kinky. What is it about you that will appeal to me when I'm not beating your ass? What are your interests, what are your skills...can you cook, or will I be stuck doing that? Don't dwell on the sexy kinky aspects of what you want...that isn't your department, its mine.  Interest me, intrigue me, make me want to get to know you better. Be funny, be bratty, be something that stands out, make it memorable in some way.

This is what I agree with. Training online? That is just ridiculous. It's not that I don't think people don't do it or aren't having fun doing it, I just think it is not real training. That is my opinion. Real training should be a lot more hands on.

I disagree, "training"can encompass a lot of things, the simple physical act of taking large objects in various orifices without injury, for example, can take some getting used to, learning to control your gag reflex, etc., that can be done to some extent alone, and it might help to have somebody egging you on there, though when it comes to pleasing a particular person, "training" does generally mean how to please them, and not the more general sort.

I think it's understandable to be wary of entanglements what with the stalkers and human traffickers about, not everybody wants their entire lives turned upside down just to get a little kinky sex.

For chat
you need a decent typing speed and a reasonable command of the language you are typing in... too many stupid spelling mistakes or too slow at responding are a turn off.
You need to be able to go along with the lead given by the Dominant you are corresponding with, go along but give just enough resistance for interest.
You have to have an open mind and good imagination.

If you need ideas for material, then read lots of sexy stories or watch porn

From my personal experience the online thing never seems to work out, I mean generally, any man I talk to wanted me to be at his beck and call every moment of every day, wanted me to self inflict pain on myself (which I just don't like doing) and seemed to have no grasp of the fact that I did have a life outside of the computer. Perhaps the online thing is good for some people, but I suppose it really depends on what on earth you are looking for out of your Dom/ Master experience. I came into BDSM for that deeper connection of trust and love that can grow from giving yourself to your partner in that way, unless you are seeing someone long distance because you have a connection, but don't have the ability to see one another that often in real life I really wouldn't recommend the online thing at all.

My first experience into this world started in an online chat room, when I didn't know what I was doing.... I also of course at the time was way to young to know what I was getting into, and it didn't end that well for me. Not saying that everyone you meet will be that way because my current Dom I have meet off of collarme, but I am very weary of the online thing simply because I have not always had such great experiences with it. I would seriously recommend that if you are new to things that you time the time to read, research learn, find groups near your house, and determine what it is that you really want.

She read our comments and changed her profile accordingly, to better reflect what she wants.  She deleted the journal entries that implied she was spoken for, and dropped the Lesbian bit.

At least she listened, although she didn't come back here afterward.
