Arpig -> A question for Torontonians (3/17/2011 10:33:03 AM)
Tomorrow, my son and I are going to Toronto for a day to go ghost hunting at Casa Loma. We will be using the subway to get around, and my question is this...do I need exact change. How does the subway work there, do I buy a ticket from a machine at the station or do I have to buy tokens from a corner store...what?

Yeah, thanks Kirata...don't know why I didn't think of that. Google is usually the first place I go for any info...I must be having one of my senior days.
Thanks again.

Hope this help
TTC drivers don't carry change, so if you're boarding a bus or streetcar you'll need to have exact change. If you're boarding the TTC through a subway station, you can pay a single fare to the collector in the ticket booth, who will be able to give you change if necessary. You can't use an automated entrance or turnstile if you're paying cash.
