Is my profile confusing? I respect malesubs, but why do they write and try to convince to try to be a Domme? I could try but what's the point? It does not bother me but it confuses me. Mari.

Why do Dom's mail me trying to convince me to be a submissive???...I personally think it's a pants thing for the most part.

Probably because there are more male submissives than Fem Doms they are trying to change the percentage rate.

slavejali, that is logical. But honestly, if you are not wired to be a Domme it seems like it is an action doomed to fail. Also, I think it is a very assertive thing to ask a woman to change their orientation, why would a malesub do this? MistressImp is probably right, it is just a guy thing. Mari.

There seem to be a lot of guys who reply to a profile, based only on the picture, then script you into thier fantasy life... So you like all the things they like, and would be very interested to know them... They never actually open your profile, nor notice if your name is bold or pale ...

It's a numbers game...there are less female Dommes than male subs...They figure you're already kinky..maybe if they can at least recruit you as a possible switch that will give them what they can't find otherwise....must work at least sometimes because they certainly try it a lot!

It kind of works both ways. I've had female submissive friends try to convince me I'd make a great dom, specifically dominating them. One was so persuasive, she got me to actually try it once. To me, it was the funniest experience I'd gone through in the scene because I so made the worst dominant of all time, unless dominant equals serving the woman who wants to serve you. But my friend seemed to enjoy it immensely at the time, although I think in the end both of us felt really awkward about the whole experience. And I do believe there is one reason male subs may actually believe it is possible to make a femsub into a femdom: Many femdoms started out as submissives. I know one of my first long term owners started out as a submissive to a male dom until her rebellious nature allowed her to dump that paradigm and embrace her dominant nature. But that happened on her own, in reaction to a dominant she was serving. I came along long after those events, so it wasn't me who turned her into a dominant. I was just lucky enough to show up when I did. But I know of a large number of women who are dominants who started out as submissives. But what most of these guys who are trying to change potential dominant women from submissives is that a male sub rarely acts as the catalyst. They usually appear AFTER the fact.

Dear Mariba, Ladies and Gentlemen; Not all "male submissives" are submissive but, seek a Top that they can control as they play the bottom role. We hear the terms "Topping from the bottom" and or "Submitting from the Top." Perhaps, the fact that strong dominants have not knuckled under the pressure, perhaps they will project their wishes and most times kink onto another woman using their submissive side as the desire to please. Then, it is role reassignment. You'll be submissive in a dominant role, as the dominant assumes the submissive role just for that period of time. In truth its that as many women switch they may have hopes that you will as well. (Also there could be something to what UtopianRanger says about posture and stance in your photo). It also could be that they have hopes that someone will be nice to them and actually answer their messages. Clinging to false hopes? Probably, but then many people do so they shouldnt bbe faulted to much I don't think.[:)]

Not a guy thing. Given I've met a few rather silly little girls who thought they could turn me into their submissive. Its people who lack the ability to seperate their fantasy life from what is really out there. There are a few lovely Dommes where I will jokingly say "Oh what a damn waste, you'd make a lovely sub dear" before chuckling and settling down with a drink and chatting about life, the universe and everything with them, but there is absolutely no point in trying to turn someone into something they are not.

I have had some nice conversations with male subs and I think they often try to change us because we aren't submissive with them. I am only submissive to my Dom and with everyone else I come across as a very strong woman who could be capable of being a Domme. When I met my Joe and told this one submissive male that I was getting a Dom he couldn't believe it. Told me there was no way I could be a submissive because I was too good at Domming. I had to inform him that I was good at cyber. Big difference! [:D]
