What does it mean?  Is viewing someone's profile again and again some kind of signal to the viewee to message you?  It happens a lot to me.  So, one day I messaged a guy who was perving my profile (a lot)  and asked if he was interested and was he waiting for me to c-mail him.  No reply.

Do dominant women do this, too?

If you're interested why not just send a message saying "Hi, I'm interested"?  [8|]  Or is that breaking some "domly" rule?   Seems kinda silly.

It's amusing in a creepy way.  [:D]

I feel much better now that I got that off my chest.  [:)]

I just always assumed it was idiots using the pics to jack off to.

I also had one guy who finally emailed me saying he keeps doing it hoping that one day I will be single again.

There are other ways to perve a profile without disclosing.
It's ok to have a stalker up to a point but it's eery when they do it to top me.
And no I don't do it. I don't even use the search function. I only answer about one in ten mails as I would have no life if I answered it all.

I had one persistent peeker tell me he wasn't really looking at my profile at all,
but that my profile was mixed in as an internet cookie on the link he uses to log in.
Ayayyayyy!

I like to browse pics.  And sometimes I look at the profiles as well.  No harm, no foul.

I can only speak for myself so here goes...
 
I like latex.  A lot.  There are a number of rubberists here who have great pix.  I'm not necessarily interested in the person, but I enjoy looking at the photos.  I've even put them on my favorites list so I can find them again.
 
Alternately, there are a handful of people here who have amusing profiles or journals.  Again, not interested in them as much as I enjoy reading their writing.  Sometimes I have to click View Full Profile to read all of it. 
 
The interesting thing about this is that, sometimes, one of these folks will message me.  A couple of very sweet s-type rubberists I'd favorited each sent me a message about a month ago and we've been corresponding ever since.  I really wish we lived closer to each other so we could meet in person.  We share a lot of the same interests and I think we'd enjoy hanging out together. 
 
So, for me, it's not that I'm interested as much as I find the person interesting, if that makes sense.

It depends really. I enjoy perving profiles. When I revisit a profile it could be for various reasons. Sometimes its because the pictures are appealing (rarely a nude one oddly enough), sometimes its for the journal entries, sometimes its the profile itself...some of them are funny as Hell. Sometimes its because I'm not sure I'm interested and am trying to make up my mind. And other times its because I am interested and am trying to think up a good approach.

In my experience "Hi, I'm interested" usually results in a Deleted Unread or a "Sorry, I'm not". I'd just take it as a compliment.

Good point.  It'll help me to have a different view on being perved frequently.

The "hi, I'm interested" statement was just for illustrative purposes.  I prefer a message that is more personalized.

Hah.  Nitrile (synthetic latex), vinyl and pvc are acceptible substitutes.  [;)]

sometimes i poke around and read profiles, and if there's something really interesting or funny on there, i'll stop back by and read it again. sometimes people have really cool pictures that provoke another saunter by. usually if i wander by, i'll say something though; i don't expect a huge drawn out reply, i usually just send something in the spirit of "interesting profile requires look; have a nice day" so that they know i'm not trying to be weird. hahaha
if someone drove by my house to look at my garden and didn't say anything to me, i'd be a little weirded out, too. i figure this is similar.

I don't do much profile surfing.  I will view someone's profile more than once if it's someone from the boards who mentions that they have new pics up or have a new journal entry that they specifically mention.  If it's somebody that I enjoy talking to on the boards and they mention that they have updated their profile, I might take a look to see the new version.  Other than that, I'm pretty lame.  I don't even check out profiles of folks in My own area.


BTW, Arpig, I like the new pic.

I get tons of views on my Who's Viewed Me and often from the same people.

No one ever writes to introduce themselves.

I figure if they were interested, they would write.

I only view profiles from here when I read posts.

I have a certain group of men that routinely view my profile. On occasion they'll send a message, pay a compliment, or simply stay in the shadows. I don't expend energy trying to figure it out. That's rather pointless in my opinion. As for my own activities, I rarely do it unless the individual said something amusing or I'm exercising a bit of curiosity for the moment.

In terms of men expressing interest, I appear to attract the sort that will reveal themselves through this method but they won't approach me first. At best they're making me aware of their presence and allowing a dialogue to commence if desired. But in these instances I must initiate it. In most cases I ignore it. However, there are intriguing persons who's presentation and persona will warrant my attention.

In general, guys don't "signal". If they want something, they go for it. If they don't, they don't. He likes something about your profile, so he keeps looking at it, but he doesn't want to actually engage in anything.

My 28-year-old son said to me recently, "You women give us way too much credit for what goes through our heads. We keep things way more simple than you do."

When the horse's mouth speaks, I listen, lol.

For me, it's usually people reading my journals.  I have a small and loyal, but deeply troubled, following.  That or the nip pic that's not the primary.
