This impeachment backtalk has the same chance of being taken seriously as much as the impeachment call by Newtshitcrazy Gingrich's whine about impeaching him for not standing behind DOMA, also, From what Ive seen, Obama is highly unhappy about the US  putting troops in..I hope to god  he can stick to that. The fact that this is dems whining, isnt a shock, anti war protests are in full swing, and its something they felt strongly about since the iraq clusterfuck of lies.
Hes gonna get it int he ass no matter what he does, very few people are happy about troops being put in another situation
except the "bomb em all" funny mentalists who just drag their knuckles in fury at anything he does or doesnt do according to their "brilliant" minds

Comes with the job...few adults(sanity notwithstanding) expect that any President will receive total support,from all of the people,all of the time...hell even keeping your party 100% behind you is unheard of in a Democratic Gov't.
Most of us understand this.

neocon started out as a liberal term. Its an interesting history

No it didn't. It's Futuyama's coinage.

No, Tazzy nailed it perfectly.

Yanno, moonheed, I've asked you several times in the past what your experience/connection with the United States and our political scene is and you have always avoided the question.

The reason is that you often talk and post as if your beliefs are ex cathedra against people who live here, and have been deeply and personally involved in our politics all of their lives.

What makes you a Pope to pronounce the law about how American mean the words we use in our discussions?

Hell, you guys can't even spell "color" correctly.  [:D]

Firm

Yes we can spell colour correctly, we spell it as it is in English, the language the English and much of the english speaking world speak in the English language. Honestly you lot that can't spell, or seem to be too lazy to spell correctly, to differentiate between us and you, you should start naming your deritive of our language, American, so those that observe the English language can differentiate between the original, and the slang.

Maybe then, my mac computer might stop telling me I have spelled my own language wrong, if there was a clear definition of what Americans speak, and what the English speak in English.

tazzygirl -> RE: Impeachment? (3/20/2011 5:47:30 PM)

Well, hell, honey, if your mac book says you are spelling words wrong, then you must be.

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/20/2011 5:48:15 PM)

You give yourself a lot of credit mike... [:D]

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/20/2011 5:54:56 PM)

Mike, mike, mike... point out where I ever wrote anything like "any President will receive total support,from all of the people,all of the time".

I think youre letting your hate consume your mind!

Well you did seem  a little bent out of shape when you started this thread...hell,you even went so far as to claim you were so appalled that you found yourself "siding" with our poor beleaguered President.

sanity,if I need to explain sarcasm to you.....perhaps it would be best if you just stopped reading my posts.[:D]

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/20/2011 6:12:35 PM)

Oh, I see. It was "sarcasm".

Guess youre right, I should probably know better than try to match wits with you by now...  [:D]

Your question boils down to "you don't live here: shut up". There's no response you'll accept as a rebuttal of that, so why bother?

Actually I think that it is, "You are not conversant with our political parties and they do not match with yours so stop trying to make a=o."

slvemike4u -> RE: Impeachment? (3/20/2011 6:35:18 PM)

In its common usage, yes it is, whch just further demonstrates your utter cluelessness in regards to American politics

Given the drivel you spout in here, it looks like I'm not the only one.
You are clueless enough to think that "neocon" is a term of abuse, after all...

This is what I love about you Sanity.

No matter how many times someone points out how wrong you are you just keep coming back with the same claim.

Irving Kristol referred to himself as a neo-con.

As I said, it started out as a shortened term. It is turning into a pejorative.

Nonsense!

It is no more of a pejorative than liberal is.

That doesn't compare to idiots using terms like libtard.

Nonsense!

In general American political discourse "liberal" generally is seen as a pejorative.

Which is why so many try to rebrand themselves as "progressive".

Well this certainly got hijacked in a hurry. It seems there are some who just can't face the prospect of President Obama being held to the standards that were shriekingly demanded of Bush.

There will be plenty of time for that later, I suppose.

It got hijacked by it's author, who can't even seem to stay on topic on his own threads.

Actually, if you go back in history the original term was progressive and then was re-branded as liberal.

TheHeretic -> RE: Impeachment? (3/20/2011 7:32:46 PM)

Well, if I notice a mod has mopped this down to about a 1/2 page thread, I might stop back in. Or we can try again with Ted Rall's column, later in the week. Or maybe Michael Moore's demand that Obama return the Nobel Peace Prize would get us on a solid track.

rulemylife -> RE: Impeachment? (3/20/2011 7:37:29 PM)

And there are many who see it as it is progressing. Moon, honestly, let it go and stop using the term. I dont use it because I see too many use it as a form of redicule.

Oh for God's sake!

How have conservatives been using the word liberal for the last few decades?

Have we really become this thin-skinned?

That's going to be an interesting question, Mike. Did you see the latest report that the Arab League is doing a 180, and is now condemning the bombing?

CAIROThe Arab League secretary general, Amr Moussa, deplored the broad scope of the U.S.-European bombing campaign in Libya and said Sunday that he would call a league meeting to reconsider Arab approval of the Western military intervention.

They endorsed the no-fly zone but are objecting to the missile strikes.

Moussa said the Arab League’s approval of a no-fly zone on March 12 was based on a desire to prevent Moammar Gaddafi’s air force from attacking civilians and was not designed to endorse the intense bombing and missile attacks — including on Tripoli, the capital, and on Libyan ground forces — whose images have filled Arab television screens for two days.

Sanity -> RE: Impeachment? (3/21/2011 4:23:10 AM)

So, if I respond to the leftists here, thats a hijack?

How do you figure. Are you claiming that leftists should for the most part be ignored, because they rarely have anything worthwhile to add?

Well, if thats what youre arguing, then you may have a point.

Im not here to argue this point. Want to argue it out, start a thread. I posted what I believed, why I believed it, and if you dont like it, thats on you.
