It's unfortunate Fox news thinks telling the truth is biased. I wonder why they never said anything about MSNBC.? I can’t wait for Keith Olbermann to start his new show - maybe NPR could give Keith something to do, that would be nice. Keith Olbermann is fair and balanced and unafraid.

But, Conservative commentators have agreed that NPR’s coverage is ‘fair.’ The Conservative radio host Micheal Medved said, “NPR Tries Harder To Be Fair Than Just About Any Other Media Source.” Glenn Reynolds, the Conservative blogger stated, “I have found them to be fair … I think NPR does a good job.”

Conservative New York Times columnist David Brooks Appeared on the March 13 edition of NBC’s The Chris Matthews Show to discuss NPR. From the broadcast:

I think NPR’s done a good job over the last ten years of reducing that bias. I thought it was really biased ten years ago, but now I think it’s pretty straight, and the federal money for NPR doesn’t so much go for the big stations. It goes so they can go out to the rural parts of the country which wouldn’t have those stations otherwise.

Several Tea Party activists found NPR to be ‘fair’ but the most biased and unbalanced news source, that deems themselves as ‘fair and balanced’ claims NPR to be unfair. Fair and balanced, my Progressive @$$!

This is surprising how?

"Fair and balanced" doesn't mean it's true.  "Fair and balanced" in WWII would be presenting Hitler and FDR and saying "you choose which is right" while Hitler's advocating his final solution.  Or presenting Hitler vs Stalin.

A lot of new coverage nowadays is much more concerned with presenting 2 points of view, even if one is bogus.

NPR's top three executives have either been given the boot or resigned because of their liberal bias and opinions. That should tell you where they are coming from.

Lets say this is true... then would not the fact that they were forced out prove their desire and commitment to remaining unbiased?

Now compare NPR’s actions to Fox…which do you suppose is showing the MOST desire to be unbiased?

The House debated the bill, and the procedure by which it was brought to the floor, for several hours Thursday, with Republicans arguing that NPR should be able to sustain itself through private donations, and Democrats countering that the cut would have a negligible impact on debt reduction or the nation’s fiscal problems. They further accused Republicans of ignoring joblessness to instead attack “Car Talk,” an NPR show.

The bill is almost certain to fail in the Senate, should it even reach the floor there.

You beat me to it..... took the words straight off my keyboard!

I'm dying to see this evidence too. As far as I can tell, the charge of anti-semitism is thrown about with such promiscuity in the US that merely to breathe and blink at the same time seems sufficient to qualify.

OTOH where genuine hatred against Jews/Judaism is expressed (see the "New Bible draws critics of gender-neutral language" thread for example) it's met with a deafening silence from those quarters who allege anti-semitism as a part of an attack on their political opponents.

Just go to youtube.com, and type in 'Fox News lies' or 'Fox News bias', and see how many hits you get. Then compare that to 'NPR lies' and 'NPR bias'. Upon closer inspection, one will find that many of the NPR ones, are of it neither being bias or lying. Unfortunately, Fox News can not say the same.

If Fox News wants to claim NPR is bias, that's its choice. But trying to claim its as bias or more so, is simply absurd. Hell, even claiming its 1/2 as bias as Fox News is simply laughable. The only folks that still believe Fox News, are the ones voting Republican, year after year. Most of their viewers believe Mr. Obama is not a US Citizen and that capitalism has no fatal flaws (Greed, but easily corrected with proper regulation and regulators).
