Please indulge me in a bit of a rant, which is largely tongue in cheek. ;)

I like perving the photos. Being a heterosexual female, I prefer to perve the male photos. But there are some observations I have made whilst perving. Here they are, in no particular order.

1.) There are way more photos of submissive males than dominant males.

2.) Why are so many of the hot male dominants gay?? It isn't frickin' fair to one who is not a gay submissive male.

3.) Why do a number of the straight male dominants have no photos of themselves but post photos of submissive/slave-type females hogtied, slung over a spanking bench, etc.? Is this some sort of visual resume?

4.) Those who don't do #3 oftentimes have pictures of themselves, but only of their dick. Again, some sot of visual resume? Is knowing you have a hard cock the key piece of information you wish the viewer to know about you?

5.) I can't help notice the majority of hard bodied males with well defined pecks and a solid six pack (or what seems to be the majority) are male submissives. I know the male doms don't have to advertise in such a way, but...a little eye candy never hurt anyone...right?? *whines*

6.) Another inequitable truth out there is seeing all of those CD/TV's out there who look better than me!! *sniffs*

7.) It seems most of the long haired dominants are under the age of 25? *exasperated sigh*

8.) I wonder if the people in the photos that look like they were taken at an office party know their smiling faces are being viewed by kinksters on a BDSM web site.

9.) There's almost always at least one guy who has a photo of a B-list celebrity, trying to pass it off as his personal image.

As for #3, I have shots on My profile that are ones that have been taken during play.  If somebody has pics of good rope work or perfect single tail marks, I can understand wanting to show them off.  Of course, that gets a little tricky if the person in the shot isn't really connected to the person that the profile belongs to. 

I can't speak for anybody else, but I'd much rather see shots of S/m art than what a lot of folks put up.  I'm not nearly as interested in looking at someone who is bent over with a plug up their ass and I generally have no interest in dick pics.

You know what I hate?  Those lame anime porn pictures. 

I assume most males that do not have long-hair over the age of 25 is because of their jobs and such not allowing it.  Of course most men don't know how to take care of the split-end/greasy-looking nightmare they deem long-hair.

They're turned on by the photos, so they think the ladies therefore must be turned on, too, and will come running to get them some of that.

That actually is hilarious to me as I know alot about movies, etc. So when this one guy wrote me who had a photo of a supporting actor who is on TV alot, I asked him, so, how was it working with Christopher Meloni on Law & Order SVU since you were in last week's episode?

When I first joined, there was a guy whose profile I perved and it was a well-known (in Asia) Bollywood actor. I reported it to Support and within a matter of hours, the profile was removed. Another time, a guy wrote to me from DC, and it was a group picture, the other people's faces were not censored out. To mess with the guy who wrote to me, I replied and said, "Oh my gosh! Does the girl in that photo know that her picture is here? I KNOW her!!! She works two buildings down from me, and I'm going to tell her it's on here!" Again, within minutes of reading what I wrote, the profile went poof. [:D]

....And it is bad enough that they have only have a photo(s) of their toys all spread out so neatly on a bed but a lot of them are all taken in motel rooms only...which brings up another point....those who only have photos (any photo) on their profile that are all taken in motel/hotel rooms.

Shocked is more like it, NS.

I usually give the folks with the obvious shots taken in motel rooms a break.  There are a lot of play parties/events that don't allow photography, so where else are you going to take those cool pics before the play begins?  I used to get a shot or two in My leather before I'd hit the play floor.  (Before is better, since the hair tends to get messed up during play.)

I agree with the "before play" photos, especially when bottoming. (The glazed-eyed, Einstein hair thing only looks good on a select few, and I'm not one of them.)

As to the toy photos, I used to have some photos of our toys, lined up nicely, on MY bed, at home (which was made to military standards, with all the pillows and comforter just so). I had those photos because I also used to have "after play" pictures of DB's handiwork on my profile and people would write and ask what implement caused this or that mark. The easiest way to reply was to say, "The heavy flogger, second from the left in picture ___."

I don't have any of those types pictures here anymore because it cuts down on the weird, wanky people who write to me.

I guess I would say at their own homes  unless they are married and can't bring them out there for obvious reasons...I have read enough about you here that that isn't the case for you...so that was my supposition for a lot of those photos but you have opened my eyes to what the reason might be...The one I have of my toys I took at home but I don't go to events like many do...Thanks for opening up my tunnel vision regarding this though Lady Pact!

2) -- quite a few of the REALLY interesting D's i've talked to have been gay. what kind of cruel trick is that?

3) -- i guess it's like "i want a girl who looks like the one in this pic, and who i can tie up exactly like this pic." - that whole "men are more visual" thing... maybe?

4) -- i don't really understand dick shots; it makes me feel like i'm sizing up livestock at the market or something. "Yes, ma'am and he's got a full 3 inches!"

5) -- i don't really care about hard bodies, but it would be nice to see D's put up a little something different every now and again, yeah. =p
