Well, yeah.  And it could last five days.

Saying that it could last 30 years assumes that Ghadafy will live thirty years longer.

As it turns out- that crazy guy has been hoarding gold.

Does gold have anti-aging effects?

No.  The point is- he can pay his people- being that he has gold.

If we all call our congressmen and senators and tell them not to $fund$ it it won't last very long.

Pops, he is trying to get it passed off to NATO.

President Barack Obama, hoping to hand over U.S. command of Libya operations to allies within days, agreed with British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkozy that NATO would play a key role, the White House said.

If the war will last 30 years...so be it but please understand that it’s not US or UK fight.
It’s not their own land & they are not their people.
USA & UK try to make this the next Iraq will a civil war will be in Libya for 20 years. After Gahdafi,
The main reason would be the oil,
Simply I do believe that USA & UK want the situation in Iraq to continue to keep the oil prices for them in the range,
That has been the direction for over 15 years.
If not can anyone tell me why they still in Iraq? or Afghanistan?
I am not talking about people of US & UK I am talking about the governments,
I don’t think that Mr. George W bosh give a damn if Iraqis got democracy or not, all he want is the oil, & he did start the Iraqi war based on nothing & keep his troops in the area for protecting the main case of his own agenda & now Mr. Obama comes along & tell me that he give a damn crape about the people Of Libya????
What about the people in Yemen, Oman, just because they have got no oil means that they don’t need democracy?
& please don’t get me started on the People of Jordan…. Just because the king`s mother is made in the UK does not mean that he can do whatever he wants,
Mr. Obama or anybody who is taking this side of the bath, we know what you are doing.
If anyone thinks that there is a war in Iraq right now it’s just because USA started it.
I don’t give shit about Ghadafi or his troops,
I do give a big fat damn about why the fuck US & the UK sticking there noses in that matter?
They did not in Egypt or Tunisia why the fuck now?

can any one Tell me who is going to pay this 17.3 ml UK pound / day?
the Nato? the EU? US? or the oil of Libya?
Nato will fuck Lybia for the next 50 years just for getting rid of Gadhafi.
Nato will take 1730.0 ml UK pond / day cost of the war from the people who did not ask for this.

Just like Iraq still paying the cost of war on saddam, & they will keep paying for the next 20 years.

Ashjor, you have a very valid point, a point many UK citizens are also asking, for the UK citizens will as ever be paying for it, as they have always done, if not in money, but in blood, whilst the interested parties stay out of harms way waiting to reap the dividends. The UK, in fact any country is a company, those at the bottom, the citizens are the lowest of the low employees, they are expendable, whilst those at the top thrive on the pain of others, untouchable as they have always been.

Now, this is not saying we don't care about what is happening elsewhere, because we do care about people like ourselves, people whatever the nationality, whatever the culture or religion, for we have a similarity with those others based upon the fact that we are at the bottom of the pile just like them, and we are the pawns the lordlings push around to achieve their lordly ends, we don't matter beyond our ability to pay tax and supply blood to be spilled, we are in effect paying for our own demise, whilst those at the top, the interested parties that augment actions elsewhere, never hasve to lift a finger to reap much in rewards.

We are in this country gripped by debt, a debt that whoever created it, the people as always will have to repay, for we are the cash cows that do as we are told, because we are stupid enough or well trained to accept what we are told by mealy mouthed politicians who have in the past been caught with their fingers in the honey pot. They care for themselves, not us, yet we stupidly vote the bastards in to fuck us over again and again.

Libya like Afghanistan and Iraq I believe is the drain on our finances, the banks did their bit, but ten years of war has got to have had an effect, for many in the UK are now suffering because of the government inspired necessary cuts in spending, cuts I may add that do not effect those at the top as milllionaires which the government cabinet employs know nothing of what it is like to be not themselves, for we are definately not all in it together.

So Libya, win or lose, the UK people are screwed anyway, just like before and as always, we supply the funds and the blood so the lordlings can have their fun and get paid for it without even feeling any threat, monetary or otherwise.

But you are right, the lack of action on non oil bearing nations that serve the UK is very plain to see, our government only looks after the interests of those that supply it, not the people, any people, for they don't matter, it is the resources they are after for it is all down to money and there power over others.

Dear Aneirin,
I can see the tears in your words & i know that your people spent blood in Iraq.
you are in a democratic nation you can do something about the people who are lost.... the blood.
someone son someone father & someone brother, or even a dear freind, you make sure that those powerfull people you spoke of dont go without punishment.
you & others can make the change.
the people of the UK may pay the cost of war but not all of it .... I know that.
till 1999 - 2000 the KSA was still paying the cost of Desert storm back in 1990-1991.

you are one of the UK citizens, & all you can do is ask?
let your prime minister to know that you are not paying for his shit or any other shit... money . i hope that you will never pay blood.
M

lol, I love to read your posts.
l
Why the fuck NOW, did the coalition decide to get involved?
That is at least a million dollar question.
Why Libya, and not the many other countries in similiar situations?
Maybe it is the oil.......................maybe we want to help the poor citizens of Libya?
Don't tell me Ashjor, that you believe the "coalition" had/has alterior motives.

I enjoy Ashjor's posts regarding the middle east.

Why?

He has fucking BEEN THERE unlike the rest of the so-called experts.

His English might not be perfect but his knowledge is spot on..

I have no problem with his English, and enjoy hearing his opinions.
My only complaint is, I think he should post more often.

Well, according to the President, we'll have some clarity on the thing in a few days or so, and then it's supposed to get turned over to a committee to run.

So likely a lowball estimate.

[sm=agree.gif] Also, very much

And I for one would like to see more people from that part of the world posting, for this board and some western people are very much in need of reality beyond what their chosen media sources and politicians say, we need parity.

Ashjor, if you know others of your part of the world on this website, encourage them to get involved, because we need the truth as those from the regions concerned see it.

The common man desperately needs to become better informed.

Thank you all for the kind words, but lets get back to the topic shall we?

I dont think so Marini, why did the US or UK goverment attack on Eygpt? or tunisia? this really tell you that they dont give a damn about people there,
there is killing right now in Jordan & some other parts near Jordan. why there is nothing on the news about that? & why there is no force attacks on Jordan or near by?

Just keep in mind where i live & what i have to deal with if I got some informations about the where I live out .... I shall go behind bars for over 19 -25 years.
That is the main reason why i dont post here much, & why I dont want anybody to know who I am.
simply I could be sent behind the sun..... with no comming back,
