Flagging "Pro" Domme profiles - 5/7/2006 7:11:13 AM

I love casually leafing through the profiles here on collarme, although I'm not sure if i'm the only one that notices it, but the number of "Pro" Domme profiles has started to outnumber the other profiles of Dommes looking for a relationship.   It would be nice if there was a way to flag the "relationship for money" profiles and somehow eliminate them from the search.

Searching for Dommes here on Collarme has become one advertisement after another for "Pros" and "tribute expectations".  I'm not saying they shouldn't be here, i'm just saying give us the tools to filter out that criteria since it's not what some of us are looking for.

there is a way to eliminate them from your search... as soon as you see a profile that you do not wish to see again... click the "hide profile" option.

POOF!!
gone

**FYI**
There are two views of the profile, best way to describe: one view shows the picture large the other shows the picture small. When viewing the profile with picture small you will see several buttons where you can toggle through pictures or jump to next profile... you can view forum posts, block profile, report profile & 'hide profile'.

Makes sence though, to ensure those professionalls both Dominant and Submissive have a place to mark as Professional. There is no reason why they can't have another profile which is for their non professional life. It would also make it easier for those looking for a Professional..

I think it would be silly to put in a flag for pros when there still isn't an option for married, involved, single, etc.

Thanx Ms Passion that seems to work.  All this time and i never noticed that hide profile button.

Still, there certainly is room for improvement on how profiles are categorized and searched.  I mean look at all the effort that went into the "interests" portion of the profiles yet you can't filter out single or married.

Those looking to make a relationship match i think should be separated from those only looking to make a buck.

Ohhh well... if we are talking suggestions for improvement on categorisation of profiles, Id like to add my 2cents worth.

I think that search categories and classifications of simple Top and bottom would be useful - that way I could finally stop complaining of only finding sexual bottoms rather than sincere subs ;-)

But yes - single/married/attached/casual/relationship/pro flags would definitely be beneficial too.

I think the reason they didn't bother with the single/married/attached option is rather obvious. The married folks who are here behind their partner's backs would just mark it single anyway...and those who are here with their partners' knowledge and consent, well who the fuck cares if they are married or not.

<gasp>  People might LIE about their status online?

Well duh.  However, people can also lie about their location, their age, even orientation (reference the many people who have profiles as both Dominant and submissive).  Yet, still they are options.

But for those that are honest about it - it can help in the filtering process.

That option would only be as good as the person defining themself. Many will confuse bottom for submissive, and you'd still find people of the wrong catagory.

But couldn't we put in the option so that when someone is taken, CM automatically prompts them to delete their profiles?  If they don't, they get a letter in the mail as such:

DELETE YOUR DAMN PROFILE.  HNGs NEED TO WORK MORE EFFICIENTLY, AND THE IDEA THAT PEOPLE COULD HAVE FOUND SOMEONE REAL IS INTERFERING WITH THEIR ORGASMS, CAUSING THEM TO STAY ON THE SITE LONGER, JAMMING OUR BANDWIDTH.

Just a suggestion.

Yours,

benji
