Well it seems the GOP really has a back door plan to bust the UNIONs and make the Dems look bad.

Below is an email sent to Gov Walker about employing people and have them say they are PRO UNION and have them attack him and even SHOOT AT HIM to discredit the protesters.

Call it a fake but the GOP official admitted it and has resigned, but only after the email became public, so as long as no one finds out they are OK with this kind of crap.

Carlos F. Lam submitted his resignation shortly before the Center published a story quoting his Feb. 19 email, which praised Walker for standing up to unions but went on to say that the chaos in Wisconsin presented “a good opportunity for what’s called a ‘false flag’ operation.”
“If you could employ an associate who pretends to be sympathetic to the unions’ cause to physically attack you (or even use a firearm against you), you could discredit the unions,” the email said. “Currently, the media is painting the union protest as a democratic uprising and failing to mention the role of the DNC and umbrella union organizations in the protest. Employing a false flag operation would assist in undercutting any support that the media may be creating in favor of the unions. God bless, Carlos F. Lam.”
The whole story

So someone is forced out by the GOP for an asinine email, but his email is still representative of the GOP? Nice try.

Or...some scumbag.who happens to be a republican, was counseled that he must fall on his sword, once the e-mail became public....not because the plan contained within said e-mail was duplicitous...but solely because the e-mail became public.
My scenario is one possible option...yours is another.A proper investigation might just reveal which one is closer to the fact of the matter.

While reading your post, the words convoluted conspiracy theory come to mind

Not as convoluted as some of yours.

DomKen -> RE: As the truth slowly comes to the service (3/24/2011 4:47:37 PM)

Email was sent Feb. 19. The sleaze didn't resign until today when the email became public.

Seems it was perfectly ok to suggest faking violence to support union busting until it becomes public.

Some people seem to have forgotten this has been done before, Haymarket for instance. It is past time for working people to realize the bosses are trying to roll things back to the 1880's.

Uh.....okay.

This after you spent months peeing your panties over Acorn.

Unbelievable!

Fair enough....now let me ask what was running thru your mind while you read wilbe's post?
His was nothing but pure speculation too.At least mine indicated the need for an investigation that might just ascertain the facts of the matter.

"Not as convoluted as some of yours.   "

Right, everything is fine.

It took 6 weeks and the resignation came only after this became public as was posted. I've told you people that the repubs continue to build a capitalist facism of America started by Reagan, aided by Bush I. The tax cuts, deficit spending, wars, GITMO, surveillance, TARP.

A fascist country doesn't have to be a complete police state say like N. Korea or the former communist East Germany. Power in policy, money, debt, taxes, the military/police having almost carte blanch, jobs, wages all slowly come into line. Unions are an impediment. China and the rest of the commie regimes...are partners (profit centers) of the neocons.

Nixon's cronies (dirty tricks squad) sent in thugs to break up of turn sour the Dem. Natl. Conv. in 1972. Also this from G. Gordon Liddy a Nixon cronie and one of the 'Plumbers' designed to exist outside the party and plug white house leaks.

Dirty Tricks:
Gemstone file envelope.
“Plumber” G. Gordon Liddy lays out an elaborate $1 million proposal for a plan for political espionage and campaign “dirty tricks” he calls “Operation Gemstone” to Attorney General John Mitchell.

Mitchell is preparing to leave his post to head the Committee to Re-elect the President (CREEP—see  “Gemstone” is a response to pressure from President Nixon to compile intelligence on Democratic candidates and party officials, particularly Democratic National Committee chairman Lawrence O’Brien. Liddy gives his presentation with one hand bandaged—he had recently charred it in a candle flame to demonstrate the pain he was willing to endure in the name of will and loyalty. Sub-operations such as “Diamond,” “Ruby,” and “Sapphire” engender the following, among other proposed activities:

[image]http://www.historycommons.org/pics/childbullet.gif[/image] disrupt antiwar demonstrators before television and press cameras can arrive on the scene, using “men who have worked successfully as street-fighting squads for the CIA” or what White House counsel John Dean, also at the meeting, will later testify to be “mugging squads;”

[image]http://www.historycommons.org/pics/childbullet.gif[/image] kidnap, or “surgically relocate,” prominent antiwar and civil rights leaders by “drug[ging” them and taking them “across the border;”

[image]http://www.historycommons.org/pics/childbullet.gif[/image] use a pleasure yacht as a floating brothel to entice Democrats and other undesirables into compromising positions, where they can be tape-recorded and photographed with what Liddy calls “the finest call girls in the country… not dumb broads but girls who can be trained and photographed;”

[image]http://www.historycommons.org/pics/childbullet.gif[/image] deploy an array of electronic and physical surveillance, including chase planes to intercept messages from airplanes carrying prominent Democrats.

Dean, as he later testifies, is horrified at the ideas.  Mitchell seems more amused than anything else at Liddy’s excesses, he merely says that “Gemstone” is “not quite what I had in mind.” He tells Liddy and Liddy’s boss, CREEP deputy director Jeb Stuart Magruder, to come back with a cheaper and more realistic proposal. That proposal wasn't much different.

I sometimes think that all the focus on Nixon is an intended red herring, in a way. The FBI, CIA, DIA, ONI, etc. were doing far worse before/during/after Nixon (and when during, completely on their own call, he and other presidents considered only a nuisance) and we hear far less about it.

Larry Grathwohl (FBI) infiltrated the Weather underground and became a source for guns and taught them how to make bombs, none of which they had before. And the founding of the whole group itself has quite interesting beginnings:

http://salon.glenrose.net/default.asp?view=plink&id=8935

Then there was the FBI provocateur planting a bomb under Judi Bari's car seat, followed by the FBI charging her with blowing herself up when she survived the explosion. Comical, and she sued and won an $11M judgment against them.

The list is quite long, and except for GHW Bush no president was much aware of their doings  (the previous mentioned groups), as they felt themselves quite above lowly presidential authority.
