I did? I went back and read that post and nowhere does it say that, "we should be taking political advice from Lewis Farrakhan."
It does say that Lewis Farrakhan was tearing Oblunder a new asshole on the news.
Ok Rule, I'm going to call you "The Mosquito" because you're just like one, buzzing around the posts, annoying people, getting swatted and comming back for more. "Bzzzzz.....zttttt, zzzzzzztt!"

According to the latest polls, Americans are more likely to vote for Mr. Obama then any other GOP/Tea Party person by a 2:1 margin.

That is a stupid lie, Jo. Why would you tell such a stupid lie?

President Obama vs. Republican Candidates

There are the poll numbers. Where is this 2:1 advantage you seem to think people are stupid enough to take your word about?

Knock yourself out Popeye, call me what you want.

But it is pretty clear that you were using Farrakhan to discredit Obama, which in turn implies that you support Farrakhan.

Why not?

Since we are being so economical with words.

Answer the question, RML. Why does Popeye referencing Farrakan imply that Popeye supports Farrakan?

Insane Bitch Bachmann (IBB) is Palin 2.0 beta.

You could be right, Hippie. In which case, if President Obama screws up badly enough, she could beat him.

She'd be the first female president! She'd take the woman's vote!

Yup.  Just like Palin sewed up all the women's votes for McCain in 2008.

Dude, women vote for candidates, not genitals.  So do men.

The path to the GOP nomination is going to be fascinating.  Bachmann has several strikes against her:

1. She is essentially the same thing as Palin, but less well known.
2. Her constituency is the same as Palin and Huckabee.  They'll split it.
3. The GOP cannot believe that she's electable against Obama.  I expect them to pick a stronger candidate.
4. She's too easy to torpedo.  She's got a long history of gaffes.

How can I answer what is painfully obvious?

He may not support him but he is more than willing to use someone he has previously criticized to criticize someone else.

I guess it must just be what side of the bed he wakes up on.

This is why you have been proven to be kind of a dope.

Yo would think by now you would have given up on thinking and just operate on total instinctive reactions.

Obama is not going down in 2012.

He's just fuck'n with us. I hope she runs like I say, create a few nice temp jobs, have few laughs and maybe more than a few, then they get crushed and go home.

So you were just being nasty, and deliberately mis-characterizing Popeye then. Got it.

How is pointing out dissent and division among your opposition a problem?

I did say '...polls...', meaning more then one source. Since giving exact details seems to confuse many of the conservatives on here, I dumbed the information down to a small fraction. As it seems most of them can only handle 10 second sound bytes of worthless information.

The Pew Research Center

CNN .com

GALLUP

Many of the polls do show that Obama is in a 'neck & neck' race against those that dont approve of him. Its when one selects any one person for the GOP ticket that the numbers seem to slant in favor of the President.

Newsweek magizine, either last month or the month before, published a series of fictitious elections inserting such names as 'Huckabee', 'Palin', and even 'Trump'. The only person with a good chance was Mr. Mitt Rommey. Now Heretic, your welcome to your opinion, but the numbers I've seen, seem to point in a favorable direction for the President. Granted the 2012 election is still a long way off, if the current trend and 'psychology of politics' remains on its current course, Mr. Obama will have a second term of office.

TheHeretic -> RE: Is Michelle Bachman running for president? (3/24/2011 10:59:46 PM)

Where is the 2:1 advantage, you lied about, Jo?

Oh, goody. You posted three links, but my RCP already has those, and more besides.

Obama leads across the board, across all candidates, including the generic R. Nobody said unseating an incumbent President is easy. He does not have a 2:1 advantage.

You told a stupid lie.

I tell you what Richie, I really don't like getting into these discussions about another poster.

And I made a mistake saying as much as I did.

If Popeye wants to address it I'll be more than happy to talk directly with him about it.

I just heard Michelle Bachman on TV, using slave, and bondage several times. It made me laugh. [:D]

Mike, he's only what, 49? But, he'll be back on the ciggys in 2012.
LOL....I think you know you are the grumpy old man I was referring to....but I will give you points for effort.

I would sincerely hope that a politician who is 0/19 at getting a Mostly True or True rating on Politifact.com is not a viable candidate.  Then again, with the media's obsession with giving two sides to every story, being factually accurate no longer seems to matter, since your point of view is given equal time on the air anyways in the interests of "balance."  (As one economist put it, "if a politician announced tomorrow that the world is flat, within twenty minutes every major news organization would have an article along the lines of 'Is the Earth really round?  We look at both sides of the debate.' ")

I hope she does run. In fact, I think that anyone who wants to do what's best for this country, who is willing to sacrifice their privacy and put their whole lives up in front of a glaring spot light deserves to have the opportunity. It then becomes the job of the populace to vet them and vote for the candidate who they think will do what's best for the country and what's going to be the most benefit to their families. That's the ideal anyway. I have a different observation about how presidents get elected though.

American's since the early 60's, generally speaking, vote for the coolest candidate regardless of record, race or political affliation. [:D] We're star struck that way. Unless the GOP or the Tea Party can come up with someone who is cooler than Obama, he's a shoe-in for re-election. Obama is a political rock star, along the lines of a Hollywood star and even when a star falls from grace, as a people, we are quick to forgive and forget because, well.. they're a star. Obama hasn't done anything major (and I mean anything) to tarnish his image of cool. Even when he is being dorky, he is enduring and you can't put a price tag on that sort of charm and charisma.

It would be nice if presidential elections really were about issues, platforms and representing the country as a whole.. although, maybe given that cool is such a cool thing to be, that *is* representative of the collective *we*. Hmm.. something for me to ponder upon further.
