fr I hope she does run. In fact, I think that anyone who wants to do what's best for this country, who is willing to sacrifice their privacy and put their whole lives up in front of a glaring spot light deserves to have the opportunity. It then becomes the job of the populace to vet them and vote for the candidate who they think will do what's best for the country and what's going to be the most benefit to their families. That's the ideal anyway. I have a different observation about how presidents get elected though. American's since the early 60's, generally speaking, vote for the coolest candidate regardless of record, race or political affliation. We're star struck that way. Unless the GOP or the Tea Party can come up with someone who is cooler than Obama, he's a shoe-in for re-election. Obama is a political rock star, along the lines of a Hollywood star and even when a star falls from grace, as a people, we are quick to forgive and forget because, well.. they're a star. Obama hasn't done anything major (and I mean anything) to tarnish his image of cool. Even when he is being dorky, he is enduring and you can't put a price tag on that sort of charm and charisma. It would be nice if presidential elections really were about issues, platforms and representing the country as a whole.. although, maybe given that cool is such a cool thing to be, that *is* representative of the collective *we*. Hmm.. something for me to ponder upon further.
