Status: offline 		Anyone else happen to notice his join date is 2009?  So unless the profile was hidden, where did he come up with that?  I know some get tons of cmails, others don't, but really OP, it's not like you're the first, or the 9,573,128th person to point it out to us.

Status: offline 		When I said that I was referring specifically to women.... every woman on CM that I have talked to gets swamped with emails immediately after posting her profile, and most of it comes from bots.

The join date on this side may have belonged to a previous user, which is more likely if you have a simple username instead of a more complex one.  The join date on the other side is wiped if you delete your account; it is not wiped on this side.

Being a woman, I highly doubt they are bots.  It wouldn't serve any purpose. 

I don't mean this as any offense to anyone, but there are some folks on the site who will write any and every female profile.  Doesn't make them the brightest of folk, but that really is what they do.  (It's usually not folks on the forums that do it.)  That doesn't really take a lot of effort if somebody is writing one liners or copy/paste jobs. 

If it were bots, males would be the ones getting tons of emails when they first sign up.  I'm kind of surprised it doesn't happen more trying to get males to sign up for things that are to make a profit.  The site has a pretty good hold on that.

The ones who say they get that many messages are probably hoping they'll get them after stating it is fact.

Yup, that is how it is. I recently had a very good friend rewrite to cute down on the "no ways" and I still get hit several times a day. The only pics on my profile are my cats.

Status: offline 		I haven't gotten even half of the numbers quoted as far as my messages go.  Tho I have gotten a few lately with the spam warning on them, and I can tell that A) they haven't taken the time to read my profile, and B) they are all cut and paste jobs.  I am not a cut and paste sub, so I expect more that that if you expect to get any kind of response (other than the obvious NO response!) from me.

I don't contact too many people first....altho I did send a one liner to someone who only has "You must prove that you are worthy!" on his profile.  I asked him why I had to do all the work!    Of course, I didn't get anything from him, I would've been surprised if I did.

Status: offline 		I created a new name and within the first ten minutes had 20 emails. Out of those 20, I knew 9 of them personally IRL. They have a rep for hitting on all the fresh new meat. Not bots, just eager opportunists.

They are cut and pasters, and some scammers. Read them/delete them. You never know when luck lands. M

I do that with any mod mail.....it helps me keep score of the spankins that way.
