ORIGINAL: NiceGuyNihilist Lately, though, I've started to take a different perspective. I find I like most of my pursuits to be extremely challenging, and can't think of any logical reason why the pursuit of a dominant woman should be an exception. Greetings, They say that revelations usually comes in threes and I must admit that has been the case in the last twenty-four hours. Madam reality has been riding my back over the past seven days and I've been severely out of whack for reasons that escaped me until now. Having come to the conclusion that what I desire isn't what I need to be happy, and rediscovering the importance of being pushed and having some measure of force in my relationship, I stumble onto your post and find the third piece of the triangle. While you posit challenge as the motivating element for continuance, I recognize its omission is the catalyst for my laissez-faire attitude and outright boredom. I cannot speak for the female dominant populace, but acknowledge there's a lot of Candyland on the other side and the idea of competing for that is difficult for me to fathom. You highlight the merits of the chase, but I'm left to wonder what you're running after? In my mind that's the real coup and I would hope it's worth the sprint. Raising the bar for the sake of engagement is not the same as an individual that inspires its ascension. That's the beauty of the position that you've omitted to discuss. Nor do you recognize its connectedness and how one aspect inspires the other in a bilateral fashion. It is thrilling because He provides something of substance that generates the excitement expressed. You enjoy the challenge because He inspires you to go above and beyond your norm. It isn't something you put on display for the sake of capturing 'a' dominant, but 'the' dominant that presents an avenue worth exploring. I think you're getting caught up in the hype and may find yourself woefully disappointed when the buzz wears off. Namaste, ~porcelaine
