woo hoo! got a niece returning for a visit with her folks in a few weeks from over there - can you hide in her luggage and fly up here? i'll dig out my x-stitch and dig out my aussie fabric to make a memory quilt with you!

coincidently i used to live in the same area you call home (but over here), for a few years!

yup, that's what I usually do too!

At the moment though I have tendonitis in my wrist, so cross stitch is out for a while

just for sunshinemiss. for all of my childhood we could only ever go to one place due to my brother's ill health. that place was Filey on the north east coast of england. where we stayed was wonderful and close to the cliff tops. i had a dog and as i didn't sleep like everyone else i was allowed to take him for walks on my own (you wouldn't dream of it now but i was 12 then). we'd get up very early and go to the cliff tops to see the sun rise.

so here is sunrise for sunshinemiss over Filey brigg
