I think it would be wonderful if he could read my mind. Many times he will ask me what I'm thinking or ask me to elaborate on a thought and most times I just can't seem to put the right words together in the way that I would want him to understand them.

Most times I feel most people don't understand what I'm saying because the words simply don't seem to come out right from what I'm thinking.

If I never had to explain something a million different ways to him or others for them to understand me...oh man that would be beyond wonderful.

Me too clip. Well, ADD. It's like a pinball in a machine in my head most of the time and I don't want him reading my mind even if that wasn't an issue. Emotional transparency is fine I guess, but I keep my deepest secrets. I'm a frigging fortress like that and no one is getting in there.

There's a great deal of pleasure to be taken in breaking down barriers and drawing information out of people. As I've mentioned in other threads that's definitely one of my favorite parts of the process. At the same time, if it would make a relationship smoother, stabler, and more pleasant it might be worth it.

Perhaps the ideal would be to have the first 3-4 years of an interaction be non-telepathically-enhanced, and then once you've gotten through a lot of those intimate secret-sharing moments after a long, psychologically charged session get to the telepathy stage to smooth things over in the day to day. Certainly I go to great lengths to perfect my understanding of body language and so forth to know what people are thinking without them saying it or intending me to figure it out - telepathy is the next logical step.

i find very few people enjoy being peeled in that manner. A lucky guess or two is okay but if you poke too deep most are put off or even offended. It's a violation of sorts that isn't everyone's cup of tea. Now i don't mind a man invading my crawlspace, in fact i invite it. But there's a big difference between the former and knowing every nook and cranny of my person. If my partner's had a clue what i thought on most occasions i'd get slapped far more than usual.

Quite the contrary. The only caveat is i choose not to be Hannibal and find Clarice's role more satisfying. But left to my own devices without warning or interference i'd skin with effortless abandon. It's the violation of their crawlspace without authority and my own ethical code that prevents me from peeking or admitting what i see. But when necessity demands i will utilize all the tools at my disposal to find the truth.

This is a really interesting concept...I think for me though the process of getting to know someone, and them getting to know me, is one i'd never want to short-circuit (in any relationship).

Willing communication is essential,especially when D/s is involved - and the process of trusting someone enough to share your deepest darkest desires takes time. A huge part of my submission has been about getting to the point where I feel safe enough to be truly vulnerable with my Master, and every step i've taken along the way has been amazing. In a way isn't trust a leap of faith in another person? All of this would be meaningless if he could just peer into my head, not to mention how violated i'd feel to have someone poking around in every aspect of myself!

The same applies the other way round, i'd not want to read another's thoughts - there's something beautiful about seeing someone slowly open up, and being allowed in.

Hello A/all,

I realize that I already posted this response on a different thread, but it applies here for a different reason:

Not only no; but Hell No!

My lovely Mistress has already experienced my ADD in 'normal' conversations that we have had. I throw in with 'Clip and Aynne88 at least in part. I want to preserve the sanity of my Domme. I am, after all, rather fond of her.

I would further worry about my thoughts being taken out of context. By that, I mean the context of my life. I took the road less traveled and found out why people avoided it. When it became the trail less traveled, I still didn't have the good sense to turn back. Then I got to the end....

Taken on their own, my thoughts would scare the hell out of some people.
