Yeah, but he was not under investigation for anything, she was.

If it was a bogus investigation, why did it stick so well that Ford had to pardon him on taking office? It seems to have been a more substantial case than (say) Lewinski or Whitewater, put it that way.

O'Reilly Settles Sex Harass Suit - CBS News

Andrea Mackris, 33, who was a producer on the show, filed a lawsuit against the top-rated TV host Oct. 13, alleging O'Reilly made a series of explicit phone calls to her, advised her to use a vibrator and told her about sexual fantasies involving her.

The New York Daily News, citing unidentified sources, reported that O'Reilly had agreed to pay Mackris anywhere from $2 million to $10 million. Separately, the New York Post said it was believed that O'Reilly paid "multimillions of dollars" to settle the suit.

I'm really tired of hearing this nonsensical conservative talking point.

Did Bush quit his job as governor to become president?

Would McCain have quit his Senate seat if he had been elected?

That's a far cry from the dumb twat walking out of the office the people elected her to so she could become a talk show host.

Actually, I like Shepard Smith.

He is the only one on the" fair and balanced network" that seems" fair and balanced".

I have seen him be tough on everyone regardless of their political persuasion.

But Uncle Rupert is probably going to fire him soon because of that.

"Bogus"????

I have vague memory of reading about someone resigning the Presidency ..... was that 'bogus' too? Did that famous last wave, accompanied by that venomous smile, from the helicopter actually occur in a back lot at MGM in Hollywood? Could it have been the same sound stage they faked the moon landing on?

Or is this yet another case of rightists being unable to distinguish between fact and fantasy?

Garfield, Harding and Kennedy were sitting members of Congress when they were elected to the White House. Now, including Obama, all four gave up their seats in Congress to fill another office.

Palin quit to fill her wallet.

You are the third(that I have noticed)poster,on this thread alone(we all know this has been gone over repeatedly)to point that out to him.He doesn't see the distinction for one simple reason ...it doesn't fit his ideological viewpoint.I know I have a slant to my POV,I believe everyone does. But this is just ridiculous....this is stark,it is easy and yet still he can not acknowledge the point ...this isn't ignorance, this is willful ignorance with an agenda.

At this point, I think he is just fucking with people. I could be wrong, but I have a hard time believing anyone could really be stupid enough to think that is a good comparison or that Obama should have said "gosh guys, thanks for the vote, but I really have to stick around here and finish this senate thing first"

It's kinda like moony and the whole "kenyan" thing. It was kinda funny the first 100 times he said it, but now it's just getting old.

Lets put a bit of a spin on servants comment.

McCain would have had to resign his seat had he been elected.

Robert Dole would have had to resign if he had won the VP seat in 1976.

The list goes on and on and on... on both sides of the political spectrum. There is a long history, and quite a precedence set, for running for a higher office while sitting on a current one.

Its time to put this particular jab to rest, servant. Your complaint is a bullshit one... and you know it.

If you want to lower yourself to their level, that's your decision. Just don't be shocked when you are judged the same as them.
