England does not have a written constitution.

the magna charta and the bill of rights is used in its place.  Constitution is a bankruptcy trust and england didnt need one.

The government operates by a set of traditions (common law) and a variety of laws and aggreements dating back to the Magna Carta.

Not any more, they claim they do but show us how that can be achieved in todays admin courts?  They write the statutes over the top of the CL and then if you enter in a CL pleading they PRESUME you are running statutory and trap you into their ponzi scam.

In other words its on the books and ignored because there is no money in it for the gub.   Its been taken over by international commercial law.  (generically speaking)

Much theoretical power held by the House of Lords and the monarh is not exercised so as to avoid having the public demand a written constitution.

They arent bankrupt what do the need it for?

anyway the point is that the republic is in the common law (of the land) and literally extinct in practice!

The only thing you have access to as a "cit izen" is "alleged" adjudication in an administrative statutory court of MOB RULE democracy.  Many judges (and officials) dont even have an bona-fide oath on file.

There is no remedy at law there are no constitutional chancery courts in which to exercise your rights until you get to the supreme court level.

Anyone see a just wee bit of a problem with the american JUST-US system?

They have prescription chairs in the house of lords, that is about the only difference between the house of lords and 'the other place'.

The lords don't often hold up legislation because they realise most legislation can be put through with the parliamentary act so it's a bit of a pointless trying to block legislation. Their role is mostly about advising on implementation nothing much beyond that.

Real0ne -> RE: The American Constitution ? (3/31/2011 6:08:47 PM)

and I am sure that everyone presumes they know what you meant but miss the essence

quote:

PRESCRIPTION. A mode of acquiring title to incorporeal hereditaments by Immemorial or long-continued enjoyment Ths distinction between a prescription and a custom Is that a custom Is a local usage and not annexed to a person; a prescription Is a personal usage confined to the claimant and his ancestors or grantors. The theory of prescription was that the right claimed must have been enjoyed beyond the period ot the memory of man, which for a long time, in England, went back to the time of Richard I. To avoid the necessity of proof of such long duration, a cUBtom arose of allowing a presumption of a grant on proof of usage for a long term of years. The length of time necessary to raise a strict prescription was limited by statute 32 Hen. VIII. at sixty years; Coolidge v. Learned, 8 Pick. (Mass.) 504; 2 Greenl. Ev. { 539. See Arbuckle v. Ward, 29 Vt 43; Clawson v. Primrose, 4 Del. Ch. 643.

As long as Congress and the US voters accept an Imperial Presidency Obama doesn't need approval.

Lets see what happens in November 2012. Obama's war is starting out with a very low public approval rating and this is unlikely to improve for him.

An imperial presidency?

What the fuck do you think happened under the Cheney presidency?

Sorry. I meant Bush.  [sm=marionette.gif]

the reason they wear the white wigs is tradition because they used to take arsenic a little at a time so that if someone tried to poison them which was the way it was done, they would not be affected.  One side effect is that their hair turned white.

Sorry I thought it was common knowledge.

Aneirin -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/1/2011 2:58:37 AM)

Well done Real One, I didn't know that, I just thought they were just a bunch of tossers that liked to belong to a club of white haired people with the same hair style.

mnottertail -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/1/2011 6:51:30 AM)

I thought they dipped snuff, carried nosegays and wore powdered wigs because like the Earl of Rochester, they were consumptive and smelled bad, never getting around to a wash off often.

Moonhead -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/1/2011 6:53:49 AM)

The Earl of Rochester was the first gangstah! Don't be h8in'....

DesFIP -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/1/2011 6:54:32 AM)

Actually a small amount of arsenic daily was used not so much to avoid poisoning, but to improve the complexion. It makes it paler and whiter and since many of these people had some smallpox scarring, any available help for the skin was grabbed at.

Do you have a link ?  Wig became fashionable in the time of Charles II white wigs became fashionable first in France then in the rest of Europe. Arsenic was used as wig powder and in make up but I have never heard of it being swallowed. It certainly wasnt the reason for wearing white wigs though.

Edited to fix quotes.

Real0ne -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/1/2011 7:36:16 PM)

nope when I was in high school before they abolished civics understanding governments and replaced it with "social" mob studies it was in my civics book.  Now that was 40 years ago and I apologize I dont remember the name of the book.

If you take small amounts of arsenic over time you become tolerant to it as I said.

You cant find John (the songbird) McSaime's singing record anymore either lol.

Just as I thought...... a big fat NO.  Do you really expect me, or anyone else come to that, to believe that your school taught you why English judges wore white wigs....  really really ?  Wait while I turn off my B/s detector.

Real0ne -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/2/2011 9:38:42 AM)

I am beginning to think you got a really serious problem

I put it in goog just for shits and giggles and they even make the claim today.

In the middle ages it was a popular technique of the nobility to use arsenic to eliminate the competition.
But, they discovered that if a small amount of arsenic were eaten every day, they could build up their bodies' tolerance. A side effect of arsenic is that the hair turns white. Consequently, anyone who was of the nobility had white hair, which nicely distinguished them from ordinary people.
Eventually, because it was no longer effective, arsenic lost its attractiveness as a noble means of doing in the competition. And of, course, their hair returned to its natural color. By that time, white hair was a tradition for the nobility. That is why the modern judges of the English courts, and other members of the nobility, wear white wigs during formal proceedings. It is the distinctive feature of a member of the peerage.

Now whats your problem not acceptable because its not signed by God and the queen and passed into law?

Just a vicious conspiracy theory right?

mnottertail -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/2/2011 9:49:58 AM)

Yes I can see why you won't provide links to that whacko fucking site, for substantiation.

But you do provide links to citations that a side effect of arsnic is that it turns hair white.

That ain't the same as evidence of the whacko shit you pass off as non-whacko shit.

Anyway, is this a modern remake of Arsnic and old constitution?

Real0ne -> RE: The American Constitution ? (4/2/2011 10:29:43 AM)

didnt mean to cause you so much pain.

another poster added they used it to whiten the skin.

Just quoting the book

found another entry on the web, on thorntons site,
feel free to email and challenge him on it.

I wont waste his time on such bullshit as this, but every time I have challenged him on "worthwhile stuff" he always has a bona-fide reference and I reserve my challenges to the same.
