Like many states, Arizona faces a serious budget crisis. But unlike other states, Arizona public officials have shown a remarkable skill for finding ways to address their projected $1.6 billion deficit that are unfair, unjust and cruel. Their latest bright idea is to balance the state budget on the bodies of poor Arizonans who are unlucky enough to be fat or addicted to tobacco.

Well,see Arizona is also the same state that decided to cut organ donors for the very poor.This is just another process of following the Republican healthcare plan,just DIE.Thats sums it up.

Yahoo/AP said it included Diabeties as well.  

Does this mean they are gonna lose the sin tax on smoking?   That would be nice.   or is it double taxation?

If they are going to charge people for unhealthy acts/behaviours, how much will they charge those who vote Republican?

The glee with which the Republicans have attacked services for women and the poor tells me that voting R is a very unhealthy act for women and minorities in the US! Gotta be worth a hundred or two to balance the State's coffers!

What makes me truly sick, and disgusted, is the amount of money that will be wasted on court challenges over these stupid laws.

So poor people will be taxed - such tax will be used- possibly for programs that help poor people.

The whole thing is flawed.   Our system is built on selling the most pills at the highest possible price.   In other words-  ailments - that never get cured are big business and our model.
