hah, definitely american.

our phone's ring twice
we don't have bus systems
we don't have school lunches - you either buy from kiosk, or bring your own

somehow, i don't think we have QUITE as many issues about these things as US school systems do. oh. and teachers are almost always called miss and sir, so respect is started from a very young age.
