If you lose equal portions of your best and your worst, there is no change in the median.  You life becomes blander without extremes.

push this button and it erases 25 mistakes you made in your life-  HOWEVER at the same time it erases 25 of your triumphs are well.

Do you undo it-  or leave things the way they are?

Do I get to pick the 25 of each?

I'd leave sll just the way it is.
often, in the aftermath of s horrid decision, or a phenomenally poor choice, I've learned far more on the way of life's lessons than from the best of choices.

Given that it's making mistakes is what leads to the successes in life I don't see the point.

If however there was a button to remove other people's stupidity (those unknown to me) from my life you would find me trying to sit on the button.

Since I first read the concept of this thread, I've been trying to come up with 25 things that I think of as bad that I would like to have undone & I can't come up with even a handful. I've lived a few years by now, so one would think that I'd have more things than that to want to change about my life. But I really don't. Most of the bad things have turned into good things & for the most part, I believe that I have been blessed a bajillion times over in life. So most definitely nope, nuh-uh, no way, no how.

Yeah there is a lot of stuff I would change, I've made a lot of mistakes and am in no way, shape, or form "young" anymore. I admit most of the mistakes I would erase are from my younger years and involve family, those mistakes have left me more cynicle and jaded than anything...

Any and all mistakes I have made in the past 50 years were done for a reason and each had their own reason. My mistakes are life's lessons to teach me about myself on different levels and if I had a chance to do everything different; I would do everything the same as the first time around!

No, that's a stupid idea. The only benefit would be in order to change your present situation, in which case cut and paste would be a much more efficient method.
