Ashor, my brother and compatriot, I never intended to inhibit you in some way. It's just that this one particular aspect of so-called US 'culture' troubles me, and I know that I am different from others in that way, both in my own land and in other cultures. At the same time, I must tell you that my eyes and ears are 'hyper-sensitive," and I think that this translates in areas beyond mere sensory perception but also into my own "too much aware" sensitivity to everything. The US media wants to scream into our face that "stupid is funny!" at every opportunity, but after too many years of this, I wish that I could destroy all TVs in the world. What used to be presented as comedy years ago is now played out into the world as something perhaps not so funny to everybody. Getting back to the matter ... Please notice that I am the only one who had 'trouble' with the new avatar. So even regardless of any 'argued position', remember that this is the US, and if in the UK too, nobody cares about people who are cursed with heightened awareness or who are visually blown away too easily. My lifelong experience tells me this. You bring to my attention a very good point though. We don't even have to be kids, if you did something that stupid if we were in the same room, I would have just thrown a rubber toy at you and saved a bunch of typing. Nothing like expressing our opinions in a more real and meaningful manner, no? I'm not being facetious or joking on that last item. I wish that people in the West could understand this better.

I just remembered an old saying of the American soldiers stationed in England during WWII: The problem with the British is they are underpaid, undersexed, and under Eisenhower. The Brits liked to say: The problem with the Americans is that they are over here, over paid, and oversexed. Just some friendly banter. Maybe a Brit can answer a Sherlock Holmes question for me. In the Red Headed League Jeremy Brett, as Holmes, turns to Watson and says "... and he was educated at Eaton and Oxford, so bring the gun." As Churchill so famously put it "Americans and British are two people separated only by a common language. Jeremy you are greatly missed, thank you for brining us the true Sherlock Holmes.

As for Churchill, his health was badly affected by a series of strokes in later life. Granted Blair was your lapdog but we are over that now.

It either promotes or makes fun of the stupidest of Us citizens. Either wat it is bad. And as tolerant and even more of alternat lifestyles, I don't think the major media should discourage it that way. These people in that show actually are not nice, and I would not particularly appreciate them in my neighborhood. (yes, I have a neighborhood) I know alot of people who wanted to buy houses in this area and our neighbors got rid of the signs, again and again. This is OUR hood. Down here, it doesn't matter what happens. Thet say a bomb went off, the neighbor tells me, so what. They watch the TV not me. Not my problem. You see it is that simple. As I said there is nothing we can do so the only thing to do is watch and wait for the weakness, and exploit it when the time comes. That will not be tomorrow. Or the next day. I have rejected all theology, but not the wisdon within. I don't know who said it but I agree that patience is a virtue. I think that will become more apparent in years to come. T^T
