Taking a trip. Wanting to bring toys. Not worried about leather/rubber or things like that. I am referring to metal toys, aside from handcuffs I have some heavy metal midevil type ankle/wrist cuffs with chain, a rolling pin with lots of metal spikes, other metal stuff. Worried they will view them as weapons. I don't plan on doing carry on, I plan on checking the bag. Still worried about it. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hmmm I have Fed/Ex items before to arrive when I did at the hotel. Heavy items may be pricey but so much less hassle. Also you can use the slower ground service which is less expensive just check delivery times to your drop off location. Or call the airline and ask them about shipping/ transporting "Midevil" items. They don't need to know why...

i have not had any trouble with toys in checked bags if your worried about it place insurance on the bags

Tell them you are doing a medieval re enactment and they are theatrical props.
Check them
Make a list of toys and make two copies* I got this from some one here* for insurance purposes. one inside the luggage, one you keep on you.
Put it on the top of the clothing so it is immediately noticeable, even mark it as an original copy.
I had a flogger stolen on one flight, but not since I did the note thingy
