My heart was racing as a watched the last holes of the Master. Funny, but I was prepared to see Tiger, or Jason, or Rory win. I was not prepared for Charl. I do have to admit I'm exhausted just from watching. I do commend the TV network for not showing Rory falling apart. I do realize they had so many stacked up to maybe winning that they could not show Rory falling apart. However, given a different time the Network might have used Rory as their "story" of the day. I know not many are interested in watching golf. I started watching when I was a kid. That is when Palmer and Nicklaus were head and head tournament after tournament. I was only a kid but found it all so exciting. I never did play golf as a kid. Oh, I hit balls around the yard. Dad took me to the driving range. However, he hated women golfers and I never got to play. Fast forward 50 years. I met Gary and now live with him full time. He sees nothing wrong with women golfers, in fact he regularly played with one. So, I took a couple lessons, bought a set of cheap clubs and a bag. I go out to play the par 3 course during the winter snowbird season. I love it!!! I also hate the fact that I am no longer as agile as I was when I was a kid. I wonder how good a golfer I could have been except for the prejudice of my Dad. Anyway...I love to watch others do something I'd love to do, but can not. This is true for figure skating, snowboarding, and the many activities at the Olympics. I can only watch and dream and imagine that those people doing fanatastic things are me. Enough said. I loved watching The Masters. It was truely a test of skill today. Congratulations to Charl.
