Status: offline 		That there are profiles that are sooooo old on here, the ones that haven't even logged in for years. Why haven't they been deleted?

Status: offline 		That's been suggested.  I don't know if it's still being looked at, or simply dropped.  But it makes sense to me to clear out the cobwebs from time to time.

Status: offline 		I'm guessing if they did there wouldn't be many profiles left on here at all and this site would probably fall into oblivion. If they can at least make it look like there are a lot of profiles they can still attract new people to at least visit.

I have thought about this. Why do you all put the fucking money and time into CM ? It's not for profit obviously. I know why though. It promotes our goals. What is that ?

The gays have come out of the closet, at least most of them. That is a good thing, that regular folk can see that they are not monsters who will steal your kids away and take them to a "camp" or something. This site shows that we weirdos are people just like the rest of them - almost at least LOL.

Gays used to be seen as monsters. STAY AWAY FROM MY kids, neighborhood, city, whatever. Things have changed and people made it change. So what, it's really simple, we are not done.

Acceptance.

Some thing people here do are abhorrent to me, gross even. But you know what ? They are not doing it to me, well unless I ask of course :-)

This site does more to teach tolerance of one's neighbors and those who are different than any other I have found. This is not the first discussion board I have been on you know. This place rocks, and that is why I am here. Trust me, I don't have a shit eating grin. Those who do, I'm glad they're happy. I can live with that.

Status: offline 		I think showing the last time you were on only works on your profile but if you go to the home page and look there it tells you the last time anyone was on....

Confirmed, but doesn't work.  I have that selected on my profile and it still shows.

Status: offline 		Geez, go to documents and settings\user(you)\cookies. But first you have to open an explorer window and go to file types, tell it to show hidden/sytem files. The cookie to delete will be like Colla~ or some shit. They are all text files. Actually all you have to do is search all of them for your password. You find it, delete it. Then you get in as a guest and you can log on as Joe Blow.

Ye gotta tell some people everything.

I have one of those ancient profiles. It isn't hurting you, so leave it the hell alone. I might decide to wake it back up one of these days. Any reasons for this are mine. If the site owners don't mind, why should you?

What I want to know is, what kinda whacky narrow search parameters do you have to set to bring up people who haven't been on the site in years?

I'm signed in using Firefox.  I go to IE and log in as the Man above me.  It says Last On:  "Now."

Huh?  Oh this must be to the OP.  I've had my search set just as a general everybody kinda thing before and it shows...well...everybody, lol.  Years back and current.

While you can hide the last online date from showing up in your full profile, that setting has absolutely no effect on updates to the "Last On" field that appears with the search results when sorting profiles by last on, so it's still very easy to find out when someone with a "hidden" last on date most recently visited. If a profile shows up as not having been used recently, it honestly hasn't been. I think that's the point NuevaVida and LovelyLady39 were making.

You mean you don't regularly search for seventy-three-year-olds with the word 'ketchup' in their profiles? I can't be the only one doing that, can I?

Seriously, I think the issue surfaces when you don't use the sort by last on option. If you sort by distance instead, for instance, you may well get mostly dead profiles in the results. Although the Max Distance field arguably makes it mostly redundant, sorting by distance might be useful for some. Without some periodic culling, the clutter will get progressively worse with time – so it seems like it might be reasonable to eventually do something about it. Either that or drop the sort by distance option…

Status: offline 		I think the old profiles are funny. My ex/sub has three on here now.The old one he goes on about how wonderful I am and how we will be together. The other I knew he had is a sub, and now he ha a dom one too <this can get confusing but funny.
