And just to think this whole study could have been nothing more than a bunch of researchers looking for a good enough reason to get funding, to pay their wages, which could be indicative of other largely useless studies that have been reported on or are ongoing.

It could very well have been a case of,'let's make our study potentially political to attract larger amounts of funding from political bodies'

Is anyone here involved in such studies as these and can comment on the study conception and how funding is applied for and what happens to that funding, what does it pay for ?

Why just focus on individual studies here and there? There are far more interesting and radical perspectives to consider.

For example, there's a school of thought that insists it is impossible to have any science of human behaviour. The argument goes:
To do science, one needs to adopt a value-free objective stance.
No human being can be objective about human behaviour.
Therefore one cannot have a valid science of human behaviour.

If you agree with this proposition, it frees you from the obligation to take any of the so-called scientific analyses or scientific research into human behaviour too seriously.

Of so many studies that come into my field of view through media attention or indeed on here, I often wonder what was the motivation, as if the motivation serves nothing more than to create disharmony amongst the majority what use is such an expense, and people may rightly so question as where the funding came from, as if the funds were in any way derived from the public purse. If such a study came via means of private funding then people can take or leave it at their pleasure, but what results if any of use may be derived, is just an oppinion not fact for the investigational methods are not all encompassing and neither is the experience or so called authority of the report writer.

I subscribe to the theory that just because someone has an 'ology, that does not mean that they are an instant expert on all things under the sun or indeed in their specialised field of interest.

We live in a world of many differing perspectives, a situation where the old Ford XR3i joke comes into mind, or the asshole analogy.

Well. -ology means the study of and doesn't imply in anyway a level of expertise. For example in biology, bi/o means life. Add that to -ology and you have the study of life. So you are right, it doesn't mean they are an expert.

Now are you going to answer my question from post 60, just what am I afraid of?

I have no idea if it is true, but I do know the mainstream media would never report factually and truthfully on this: http://www.mediaite.com/online/for-those-that-find-birtherism-passe-blogs-report-on-obamas-brain-surgery-scars/ Experience teaches me when leftists whine and moan there is something there.

Unbelievable!

What's the next conservative nonsense going to be?

He really has been cryogenically frozen since the Roswell crash only to be thawed out to take over the world for his home planet?

You know what I mean, or do you need it spelling out

I have enough trouble trying to figure out what you are trying to say without throwing mind reading into the mix. I responded to what you typed, not what you were thinking when you typed it.

Now are you going to tell me what I am so afraid of or not?
