Birther backlash

"I appreciate that the Donald wants to spend his resources on something that so interests him and so many Americans, you know more power to him," Palin said Sunday on the "Judge Jeanine" show on Fox News.

The former Alaska governor's remarks on Sunday seems to signal a shift in her opinions on the "birther" issue. Long ago, the president did release a "certificate of live birth" which many non-partisan watchdog groups say definitively proves he was born in the U.S.

"It's kind of ludicrous at this point," Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the former director of Hawaii's Department of Health, said in an interview with NBC.

Fukino reviewed Obama's birth certificate twice and said that "birthers" and other doubters will never be satisfied. "It is real, and no amount of saying it is not, is going to change that," Fukino said

I thought about deleting this since I just noticed Brain has another thread about it, but I think I will let it stand because it focuses more on Trump and Palin's views toward the birther issue than the birther issue as a whole.

Of course,  either of them are all for anything which doesn't require them to have real ideas and thoughts.

Sarah states that while she believes that Obama was born in the US, she believes that Trump has a right to question it.  I cannot understand why the media thought it worthwhile to report that.

I'm calling Palin "Crazy like a fox" on this one.

She is letting Trump take some of the heat off her from the D side and if (when) he gets his ass handed to him on the birther issue, she can just shrug her pretty little shoulders and look at one more potential opponent that has gone down the tubes.

No effort, no money spent, points scored.

It's actually a good strategy.

The strategy might be good,as a matter of fact I agree on your take, the problem is when she opens her mouth....she just can't do it without....."I'm a clueless bimbo" seeping out.
Now I'm not in any way an elitist....but damm there is something to be said for the pursuit of intelligence, with her all I hear is the effort to sound "folksy".Nothing wrong with "folksy",just nothing about it lends itself to the arena in which her and her supporters would like to see her play in.
I have heard it said that a large portion of those who voted for Bush the son,did so in the belief that he was someone they would have liked to attend a barbecue with....well we have been there and done that....surely we would never do so again.
