Find someone you trust.
Have them tell you to do things.
Do what they say.

I can give that to you in a 100 page training plan if you really want.

The one who collared you should be the one training you.

My suggestion would be to attend your local munch a few times and watch the interaction of some Doms and their subs.  If you see a couple that catches your eye w/ their interactions, approach them, get to know them and explain your situation.  Perhaps the Dom would be inclined to mentor you.  We had that situation a few times and it worked very well.  The Dom acted as a teacher/protector of the sub annd looked out for her well being.  His sub then had a friend who she could explain things to, offer suggestions, etc.  This works really well unless someone steps over a boundry <which shouldn't ever happen but ... it does :(   Best of luck to you!

If you read brattgirl's profile you will find she is collared, hence he should be training her.

How can I train to be a sub?

As has been stated, your Master/Dom will "train" you. If you are asking how to enhance your sub tendencies or get more info on being a submissive, I suggest a book "The Ethical Slut."

I think the idea of getting a mentoring couple is an excellent one. I happen to know the Columbus area has a very active BDSM community. You will find lots of like minded people there.

As an aside, I would highly suggest not posting nude pictures of yourself to attract a male, it tends to attract those only interested in sex, and you do mention you are looking for a love connection. Just my advice.

Good luck with your search.

As the others said, your D trains you.
Just read your collared.
Best wishes on your path!

I would start out by reading and learning what a sub is all about to see if it is what you really want. Then, attend munches, hook up with people who have been in the lifestyle for a long time, especially a couple who can give you both sides of the coin so to speak.

Since I didn't read the profile I was not aware.  Hmmmm.  Perhaps she simply wishes to be the best she can be *for* him.  There are lots of suggestions that others can make that have no sexual overtones but lend well to helping a submissive improve other area's of her life.   Granted, if she is collared she should speak to her Dominant about seeking outside advice first.
Perhaps w/ the approval of her Dom she could find a submissive support group where ideas are shared and info is gained.  Just a suggestion.

Careful of many "book training" as All Masters/Doms are different, and Book learning can n will confuse a newbie sub..stay safe n well

You don't

You meet someone you feel subservient to, someone who brings that out in you.

You are either submissive or you are not.

....unless you're talking about bottoming and that's a whole different animal

Obey Master.   That's a great place to start.  Or, in the "being all you can be' spirit of things, try -=Online Virtual Master & Slave Control Software=- or reading some of the slave training books found in the -=BDSM Book List=-.  You can also practice with Obey The Kitten (hope you like beer) or learn by example from the Subservient Chicken.

if in the back of youre mind youre higher identity is to be a brat that is going to ultimately get in the way of youre intention to submit.

i know that brats and SAMS are wired that way and finding a Dom who enjoys that side to them is all good.  im just saying...., if you want to work on youre submission you maybe need to reevaluate youre self identifier here..... or not....., smile:) im just throwing this thought into the mix.

when i started out i suppose i was a brat, up to a point, i was fiesty and resistant to authority, even though i wanted that authority, i struggled more than i submitted.  my first Dom called me a brat infact and that didnt sit with me well.  i didnt want to be, i wanted to submit.

in that situation it was more to do with the fact that the guy wound me up really badly and it was really a no-match.  it took a certain type of man with endless patience to show me what i was capable of.

I'm not done building the avatar yet.  There are 177 pieces of gear on those racks. I still gotta' get the cross & other stuff into the mix. If you look my name up on the other side in the search, there is a moving panorama of the wall-o-gear where my profile text should be.

To the OP, try this book maybe.

The Bottoming Book: How to Get Terrible Things Done to You by Wonderful People
by
Dossie Easton, Catherine A. Liszt
Catherine & Dossie give us another great book. It is short and concise and very helpful. The sections on the psychological effects are particularly well explained. The authors repeatedly validate the experience of the person-as-bottom, whether that person identifies solely as a bottom or as a top who desires to experience bottoming, or as the in-betweener who likes it all.
