I would never hesitate giving my sub any other prescription medication that a doctor gives her, but I worry that marijuana may cause her to lose focus in her training. Anyone else in medical states come across this? How do you treat it, as medicine or as a reward? Should you with hold if they do not behave? Is this too difficult a problem for the relationship?

Whoa. Hold up. Why is she taking medical marijuana? Its prescribed yes? If so, its medication, not something to be given or taken away as a reward.

I agree with Tazzy. It's one thing to let a pleasing slave have (or denying a displeasing slave) a few tokes as you're relaxing at the end of the day. Denying prescribed medication is another matter altogether.

If the doctor prescribed it, it's a medication. And you withholding it, at best look like an asshole. Would you withhold other medications from her? Heart meds and the like? You treat it as a medication, it's prescribed by her doctor so he deems it medically necessary as should you. If you withhold it because she doesn't behave, I hope she walks out on you because that's fucked up. Part of me thinks you're jealous because you can't have any. No it's not too difficult a problem for the relationship, it shouldn't even be an issue really. It seems like it is for you though.

Really? Are you really that young and stupid to withhold medication? Obviously you think medical marijuana is not "real" medicine. I'm not sure but I think utter stupidity makes you not a dominant. The punishment for such is that you never get sex or a blow job again. Does that sound reasonable to you?

If she was prescribed this by a doctor then it isn't your place to 'decide' whether she gets it or not unless you also have a medical degree and are familiar with treating patients with her problems. If you have concerns about her treatment bring it up to the doctor, that's what he's there for - to answer questions that people have so they don't decide to take things into their own hands and either refuse to medicate themselves, or self-medicate outside of the doctor recommends. I can kind of understand why you are questioning her medical marijuana prescription because marijuana has a history of being used in recreational ways. However, anything that is prescribed for medical reasons you don't mess with. Someone who was prescribed Vitamin D, Potassium, Iron, or Calcium, may think it's a relatively minor thing and not take their 'vitamin' prescription seriously. There will be hell to pay eventually if your body does not have enough of these substances and it's absolutely essential to take them if a doctor says so. Why was she prescribed medical marijuana? Have you asked her why she needs it and do you know what her issues are?

If it were chemo or dialysis, would you withhold that or try to turn it into some kind of "reward"? In My opinion, if you think that her "training" is more important than her physical health, there's a problem there. We're talking about a prescription here, not something that she's doing for kicks.

absolutely! you should withhold ALL her medical marijuana, send me a private message I will give you an address where you can send it too.... you make 3 assumtions that make you look like a jackass: 1) that marijuana does not have viable medical purposes for one of the many things its prescribed for 2) that marijuana will somehow make her lose focus 3) that your training is somehow more important than her health slaps the old "L" sign to the forehead

I usually manage to restrain myself, but can't this morning. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!? It's medically prescribed. She has it for a reason. You don't get to decide that she doesn't need it. And FYI, her health takes precedent over your training. And seriously, you want to use prescribed medication for health condition as reward? OMG, you're an idiot.

Therefore, his question shows, in my opinion, that he is a self centered moron. I make no apologies for that. On the other hand, if she is just saying she uses it for medicinal purposes, regardless of how true that may be, and it was NOT prescribed by a doctor, I would question HER about her use, because it would mean either she lives in a state where it is not legal or she just says she uses it for medicinal purposes. While it may well be something that would be valid for medicinal use, if they are in a state where it is illegal, her use could put them both criminally at risk, and should be viewed differently. Otherwise, I will echo OsideGirl....."WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?

As a submissive turned Domme with My medicinal card, do you want to know what I would have done if My previous Master had withheld My medication? Threw a fucking fit and left. It is MEDICINE. You are treating it like a parent. It is not a reward. The doctor gave it to her because she NEEDS it. I'm a complete bondage sl*t and I have scoliosis. I'm also hypoglycemic and have NO appetite without smoking. I literally would not be able to live this lifestyle without My medicinal card. Some Masters (and Mistresses) are fucking ridiculous. You are not GOD. You do not have SUPER POWERS. Taking her medicine away will NOT help.

If the issue is that you have a sub and she is on medical marijauna and actually seems to lose her focus, that is a different topic. However, it seems like instead of trying to understand the reason for the prescription and how her quality of life might be lessened without it, you are regarding it as some sort of party favor. As you are presenting it here: if your sub had pain you would not withold pain medication, if she had anxiety you would not withold her anti-anxiety medication (both types of medication are sometimes abused recreationally and can make one drowsy as a common side effect) but because it is medical marijuana you are thinking giving her her prescribed medication might be a "reward". Do we reward diabetics by giving them their insulin too? How about people who follow medically prescribed diets? Oh by the way, if you are very good today, I will allow you to eat what you are supposed to...? Did you somehow get a medical degree when you received your Master card? I might actually suggest you go back to Oz and ask the wizard for a refund.
