Well, after so long, mine's grown back. And yes, my cherry came back, hell it's been 20 months now.

Hmmm, that is a very good guess. It is a reference to my fluctuations between dominant and submissive, ergo my former use of "switch" as my status.
It was indeed inspired by Franz Kafka, for those of you who voted correctly. The reasons behind that have to do with some sparse parallels between Metamorphosis and personal life experiences.
