I don't understand it. Is my profile only being shown in Illinois? My zip code specifically states I'm in Los Angeles, so why are all these women from Illinois taking note of me. Why? I mean, they're gorgeous. To a fox, they're one. I had a girlfriend from Xenia, Ohio, which is as close to the East Coast as anyone would want to get. But, why am I being marketed by internet companies to girls and women in Illinois? Love you all. Please know you're all being re-packaged for the Great Recession. Good luck to you. Wulfenstraat

What do you mean, "taking note of you"? I assume that you mean that they're viewing your profile. If so, it's likely due to reading a post of yours and wanting to see the person behind the post. If they view your profile and do not contact you, it is not an expression of romantic interest.

Well you looked at Heritics profile in the other thread. Why? Were you trying to market yourself to him. Personally, after reading your "going to hell" thread, I looked at your profile. But it had nothing to do with marketing, I merely wanted to check how old you were. I am sure other people have other reasons. I wouldn't necessarily take it as a compliment.

~FAST REPLY~ Ohio is as close to the east coast as anyone would want to get? First, you do know that Illinois is NOT on the east coast, right? Second, the comment makes you sound like some kind of California elitist who thinks they are better than everyone else. Given the above, I would guess these women are "taking note" of you simply to cross you off their list.

Let me guess. They offer you their yahoo, want to chat, right? It's a free site, and many men are easy targets, oblivious to the realities of the marketplace. Like you, apparently? A better question is why locals aren't approaching you--or why you aren't approaching the locals (or if you are, why it isn't working). Probably a more productive line of inquiry. Best wishes.

For what it's worth you can customize the search parameters and that allows certain members to appear according to the preferences chosen.
