Termyn8or -> RE: Tax Day: A Third Of Your Tax Money Is Spent On Wars And Security (4/18/2011 11:14:09 PM)

I think there has been a confusion here THboi. It was An's post. Let it slide.

Thing is Europe is different, they travel from country to country like we travel state to state. And Pop's fixation on the border is not illogical. When you are talking on a federal level, illegal immigration affects us all. No matter what I do or have done, my ancestors got here legally. There is a difference.

This is Cleveland, we don't have alot of Mexicans here, but we have PuertoRicans. What's the difference ? They are a protectorate, or something like that. Kinda like a commonwealth. Mexico is not, and in fact some factions want to take back parts of the US, saying that they rightfuly belong to Mexico. Fat chance, go talk to some people on an Indian reservation.

What if I wanted to go to Mexico ? I need a passport and all this shit. When I get there what happens ? Do I get free medical ? Actually yes, because I will just stiff them on the bill LOL. But then I might be declared personna non grata, which would break my little heart so........

They'll control borders in middle eastern countries to curb terrorism, but not here. I can see that. I could see that if I was deaf, dumb and blind. This money going out the fucking window will stop. If it is not stopped voluntarily, it will stop on it's own. Get ready for that twenty buck loaf of bread.

Show me the post where I said someone shouldn't be allowed to comment on situations in other countries or STFU. You do this on a regular basis and never back up your lies and then you wonder why people don't pay attention to what you say.

Anything for you cupcakes. Note the part bolded, then guess who said it.

What difference does it make when brain brings up thread after thread bashing the US? Do you honestly think anyone cares what he thinks? He doesn't live here and it's none of his business. Are you trying to tell me that he obsesses about the US because he thinks he is going to change something here

Louve

That doesn't smell right- somebody's cooked those numbers. As a small business owner- I can tell you this-

If you've got $50k profit- first off you're looking at around $7600 (I'm doing this off the top of my head) for social security, medicaid. medicare aka self employment tax. Income taxes on top of that- assuming standard deductions for a single individual of about 8500 would look at an income of $41,500. You get to deduct 1/2 the SSI tax- so now you're down to 37,950 or $38k. You get to deduct health insurance which is another say $5k- so you're at $33k. Well, the income tax on $33k is nothing like $260- it's about $4503- I just went and checked the 1040 tax tables. So you're looking at a tax bill of around $12K- note that most of it is self employment tax i.e. social security, medicare, medicaid-but I have no idea where this $260 for income tax comes from.

Ah yes, I had forgotten about that thread. I did snap a bit and go off on poor brain back then. Good catch. Now do you have links to the ones where I defended his right to post here or do you only save the stuff that makes others look bad.

Alright boi et al. Let's take it from there. Really, what right does someone have to say shit about other countries ? It's actually a valid point.

The US ostensibly wants to free Women in Arab countries and bring "democracy"  to all peoples and all this shit. Many things have been said alluding to the US being a superpower and that her actions affect the world to such a degree that we are watched closely by those in other countries. Foreign leaders read our alternative news, as well as the BBC and whatever, watching news from everywhere. So do the people.

I don't know if we are some sort of ersatz north pole or something when it comes to this, but it seems that we to get quite a bit more of a timeslice in foreign media than seems normal. The world watches us. Why ?

We have over a hundred military bases in other countries, we are the only country that has EVER used a real WMD on anyone. And now we traipse about the world thinking it is our's. Could that be the reason ?

This is not personal, it's to everyone. Why do we do this ? If we had a strong military and everyone knew it and kept to ourselves, they would be the first to make peace. We could have friendly nations all over the place with trade and all that, but without trying to micromanage the whole fucking world. We didn't start all this shit, but we did start about half of it. Now people nose into our internal affairs like we sometimes use the FOIA to gain information our "leaders" don't want us to have.

I think this a pretty much normal reaction given the stimuli which we have provided. And though most of us want to just leave others alone and be left alone, we have been remiss in our duty to reign in this government, nay moreso prevented it from becoming the monster that it now is.

Ironically the next Presidential election has more to do with the welfare of Iraqis than Americans. Think not ? You think if the reds win they will bomb the blue states ? Hell no. It doesn't mean shit to us. But foreign policy being what it is, it means more to them. I know that is pretty fucked up, but that is how it is. What we do has more to do with what happens in Bumfukteria than in Idaho. Usually.

It doesn't surprise me a bit that foreigners watch the US intently. They are afraid, and I don't like it that way. That is not the way to be, and I will do everything in my power to reverse this, got any suitcase nukes laying round ?

So do we vote for others ? We can. Vote for those who will stop killing people all over the planet, if for no other reason than to just save the money. Money we don't have BTW.

Never happen.

You denied that you had said it. End of story.
