Does anyone here know of a lifestyle friendly attorney. I have come across one here that is giving me a bit of a legal problem and I need to find an attorney to help me deal with this matter. Yes the lifestyle thing will come up, he has made sure of that. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mistress Elizabeth

Not too sure about where you are located, but if you were in Memphis, I most definitely do know of someone absolutely more than capable and suitable for the task. However, his time constrants, due to the work load he continually has, do not permit him from venturing very far from home base.

I went to Kink Aware Professionals...

but there is no listing for Colorado

Sorry I can't be of any help, but if it makes you feel any better, there's a lot of lifestyle legal trouble floating around.  I don't know about your particular situation, but I've seen lots of pros in the paper in the last few months.  Ditto for stores and clubs.  Don't know what it is right now, but hopefully it's just a fad.

God i hope not.  I'd hate to think i could get into trouble for participating in adult activities with another consenting adult.  On a piggy back...what's with this consent form for bdsm type activities?

Its not a fad. Its called the Bush Administration (seriously).

To the OP: Goggle lawyers in your area that are in adult entertainment etc. Depending on your situation whomever you retain may not even have to live in your state. Example :

Come on people, with the proliferation of BDSM awareness do to the internet.  Along with mainstream medias use of this activities for everything from comedic releif, and kinky-psyco-killer rampage.  As well as the growing number of women trying to turn tricks as pros.  You hafta expect to attract the attentions of the authorities and the quote "Moral majority."  You know they hafta see this as a new holy crusade against perversion and the forces of sin.

We may even see changes in existing laws allowing law enforcement personel to make prostitution arrest in these areas.  Possibly even new laws making the possesion of specific toys related to BDSM a prosecutable offense.  I'm sure their thinking is what kind of sane, person would need a whip and whipping post.  Make it illegal.

I read a story, forgetting exactly where, that law enforcement officers closed down a professional dungeon all because condoms and dildos where on the premises.  Supposedly proof of intent.

addendum:
I could see the L.E.O.s making raids on the pretents of protecting the customer from the pro.

I would contact scarlet ranch or shotgun willy's and ask who they use. It will be a local attorney and likely to have some idea of the industry.
If it's someone from here though I'd forward whatever it is to the Mods and let them deal with it. Not much that a cyber only person can do to you.
Colorado BDSM may also have members that would be willing to consent to be revealed to assist.

Years back I had some legal issues relating to child custody and needed a kink aware atty. There wasn't any in my area.
I hope this doesn't sound like a stereotype, but I did what I felt was the next best thing...
I contacted a lesbian atty. (Her girlfriend was her paralegal.)
I went that route because I figured they would understand some of the prejudice that comes along with living an alternative lifestyle.
And I was right.
They were a very caring and understanding couple, and very competant lawyers. They fought the good fight, and in the end, we won.
It's been many many years, and I still send them a Christmas card every year.
So maybe if you can't find a specifically kink friendly atty, you might be able to find an atty who at least has some sort of understanding of prejudice for alt lifestyles.
