Hunk, there are no FEMA trains for detainees, there are no FEMA internment camps, it is all a bunch of bullshit put out by conspiracy theorists who are idiots and frauds.

Why would you assume 350k are being detained?

These handbooks have to be handed out on the spot. Would not a supply be in order? How many detainee centers are there? Last number I saw was around 30,000.

11 - 12 per center is hardly an astronomical number.

Why do detainees need a handbook? They just need to shut up and do as they are told.

That is one hell of an ignorant response there, Im surprised at you!

from the ICE handbook itself,
PURPOSE AND SCOPE. This Detention Standard requires that, upon admission, every detainee be provided comprehensive written orientation materials that describe such matters as the facility’s rules and sanctions, disciplinary system, mail and visiting procedures, grievance system, services, programs, and medical care, in English, Spanish, and other languages and that detainees acknowledge receipt of those materials. It applies to the following types of facilities housing DRO detainees:
  • Service Processing Centers (SPCs);
  • Contract Detention Facilities (CDFs); and
  • State or local government facilities used by DRO through Intergovernmental Service Agreements (IGSAs) to hold detainees for more than 72 hours.

Of course I realise that many people just think people should be chucked back far over the border, but that is not realistic or smart and not gonna happen.
If you were being held for three days in a "prison" wouldnt you want to know whats going on what your rights are, etc etc?
There is also a section for reporting abuse of civil and human rights,
http://www.ice.gov/gcse-results.htm?q=detainee+hadbook&cx=008742725097888865614%3A-tv3i3imaqu&cof=FORID%3A9&ie=UTF-8#1074

Its not hard to find out information/facts like this yanno and would make you(and the OP) seem a whole lot smarter

pahunk, did you not take math in school? There are 3000 detainee centers in the US. All of them must have handbooks ready to give out.

Termyn8or -> RE: U.S. Government Printing Office Needs 350,934 National Detainee Handbooks Printed by 29 April 2011 T (4/21/2011 12:35:49 AM)

3,000 ? That is sixty per state. SIXTY ? If that is true, something is missing here, and I would say it's people.

I mean really, three thousand detention centers do quell the riot when it comes to the handbooks, but now I do some math. How many people are in each of those facilities and how many is each in capacity ? People who bring this up might not be the sharpest bowling ball in town, but as YOU said, do the math.

We already have the highest per capita prison population in the world. How many more are held incogneto, or who knows ? How many would be leaders, inventors, voters might be locked up right now ? How many have commited those victimless "crimes" while the rich continue to scour this country for every fucking dime they can get ?

Three thousand ? Yes I did the math and I doubt that each of them hold only ten terrorists. I doubt they built a special prison just to put Trafficant in. I doubt they built a prison just for the Rosenbergs. (although a former FBI director probably would've liked to)

Just why the hell are they locking these people up ? Do we have that many enemies, that many threats ? If so maybe we should take a closer look at this situation.

DRO is the division that deals directly with the detention of immigrants. DRO, under ICE, operates eight detention centers, termed “Service Processing Centers,” in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Batavia, New York, El Centro, California, El Paso, Texas, Florence, Arizona, Miami, Florida, Los Fresnos, Texas, and San Pedro, California. ICE also has contracts with seven private companies that run facilities in Aurora, Colorado, Houston, Texas, Laredo, Texas, Seattle, Washington, Elizabeth, New Jersey, Queens, New York, and San Diego, California. Other facilities that house immigrant detainees include juvenile detention centers and shelters. However, the majority of immigrants are detained in state and local jails, which have contracts with ICE. At the end of the 2007 fiscal year the United States’ immigration detention system comprised 961 sites.[7]

My bad... its 961 as of the end of 2007. Three years later... dont know how many more were built.

Thats still less than 31 per site.

Termyn8or -> RE: U.S. Government Printing Office Needs 350,934 National Detainee Handbooks Printed by 29 April 2011 T (4/21/2011 1:32:15 AM)

That's not good. Many people are out and about because the prisons/jails are too full.

How about this. We just build a facility that will hold each and every person in this country. They can put everyone in jail then. Torture them even, because when they came for me, noone was left to stand up.

I assert, but not put forth as hard fact, that if they let everybody out of jail and prison who had never hurt anyone or stolen, they could tear down at least half of those prisons and jails. And if we executed the MFs who need dead, that would be even better.

Who needs detention centers when you have higher taxes coupled with inflation? If you simply make it almost impossible to survive let alone get ahead, and you make gas too expensive to burn for leisure, then in effect you have everyone under house arrest.

Lucylastic -> RE: U.S. Government Printing Office Needs 350,934 National Detainee Handbooks Printed by 29 April 2011 T (4/21/2011 1:44:18 AM)
