because my devotion to God is unwavering. If someone finds that dogmatic then so be it. I don't force others to believe the same things but if given my view then I give it.

Possibly, because they hold their belief very strongly, even passionately. {If they didn't believe passionately, I doubt it would be their "belief."}
Too, even if they rabidly defend an unsupported opinion, it's still their "opinion" and they're entitled to it.. whether it's right or wrong.
