ORIGINAL: sunshinemiss I actually would be interested in hearing about what it is like to be in that kind of relationship. The name conjures up for me feeling precious and loved. Being with someone who very much wants to protect a woman and yet is able to have good boundaries. You've pretty much nailed it, as far as mine goes. It's more of a nurturing, loving, yet strict-when-necessary, kind of dynamic. What it brings about for me is a freedom to be feminine, innocent, and childlike (in an "adult" sort of way, if that makes any sense) that I've never experienced before. quote:
I don't see it as the whole dressing up in ruffle butts and Mary Janes with pigtails kind of thing. It's more a ... quiet kind of leading... I can honestly say we haven't done the ruffle butt, pigtail sort of thing. Although I did hop around in bunny ears yesterday, just for fun, lol! But hey, it was Easter! [8D] But yes, a quiet leading fits him perfectly. Have you been peeking in on us? [:D] quote:
I was surprised by your post NV. I suppose there could be a certain stigma to being a "Daddy Dom" but I've never heard it. Doesn't mean it hasn't been there, it just means if so, it hasn't hit my radar. best, sunshine Oh God, yes, I see it often. On CM more than on Fet. "Daddy" is put in quotes, is referred to as a "Pedophile," or "Dirty old man," or is referred to as "play" and not a serious type of relationship, etc. There's all sorts of negative connotation. I never noticed much until I entered into such a dynamic. It doesn't bother me, because I know what we are, but it's out there. I even get weird Cmail about it.
