The one in Iraq is over and he never promised to end the Afghan war.I recall that he promised to escalate it.

They aren't all gone, Pahunk, but the ones who are left have a harder time getting media to pick up the press releases. There was that song at the breakfast, and I'm sure there will be a lot more protests from the left as the campaign rolls.

Now the ones who shrieked against the war, flung vicious smears against any who disagreed, and now just don't give a shit? Res ipsa loquitur.

I just read the paper.It only seemed like vicious smears to the ass holes who tricked us into that world-class disaster and to their brown nosed supporters.

Shit,the news was so fucking bad that fux news said they were going to Iraq with a show spicifically tasked with finding the "good news" in Iraq.

Never saw that show tho.......[&o]

What do you mean he couldn't figure it out. He spelled it out in the first two sentences.

"The anti-war movement was all over the news before President Obama was elected. But apparently they weren’t really anti-war ... they were just anti-President Bush"

Not sure where you or Stossel have been but Obama has been getting skewered regularly by the left about the wars. Why do you suppose the Left stayed home on election day 2010? The only difference is that dumbasss know-it-alls like stossel don't have a clue about the time of fucking day much less what is really going on in the world.

I and most Americans supported the Afghan war and still do.


So how is that it I`m supposed to be protesting "the war"?


Where`s the inconsistancy? I think it`s up to the whiners to explain where it is.


If the rightie-whiners can`t see the distinctions or why people weren`t happy with bush`s conduct in the Iraq mistake,then there`s really nothing else to say other than you don`t want to see the differences.

Must be a slow news cycle for the cons to be scratching this scab.

What war(s) ? Are we at war ? How can you tell ? Do you ever see any real evidence that the US is at war ?

It's been sanitized, cleaned up. No corpses, no higher taxes in fact they are all free now...don'tyaknow ? Ok that is until some real liberal big spender not some RINO big spender, decides they should at least be on the books.

Nope, wars aren't being fought, you get snippets of this or that from Iraq or Afghan but we really aren't in a real war with anybody.

I think the one source of this angst,...... is the neo-con desire to conflate the Iraq disaster (and their culpability for it) and the war in Afghanistan.You know,war is war is war,no distinctions,all`s fair in love and war, etc.

They say hey, you protested that war(Iraq),by the millions.............what about this war?

Oh,it must be b/c the president`s a democrat, that they`re not protesting (a war they have always supported).

What fucking morons.Jeezz, you thought they were insensitive boobs for throwing so many lives away for squat for years in Iraq,now they want us to feel guilty for telling them to fucking stop that stupidity.We weren`t protesting against war.We were protesting against the Iraq fuck-up.

And the bean counting by the cry-babys over what level of coverage the death toll gets relative is morbid and just weird.That comes from the months and months and years of death by the hundreds in that mistake/trick called "Iraqi Freedom" for nothing.Still a lot of shame and denial over that.

I don`t know anyone who protested the Afghan war.The millions of Americans who protested the Iraq war and torture and the swagger and the arrogance, weren`t doing it for politics(as the vacuous cons charge).They wanted killing and dying for nothing, to stop.

Except for the part that the real anti-war folks, as opposed the bandwagoneers of Democrat talking points and any old excuse to fill themselves with hate, are opposed to Afghanistan too, as well as to President Obama's very own attempt at military adventurism in Libya.
